Review of the Patagonia Women's Overhead Bra
January 03, 2012
I like this bra because it is very comfortable for running. I usually wear a size 34B for regular bras, and the Medium size of this bra is perfect. The width of the band is very good also, not too narrow and not too wide. I will not recommend this bra for high impact sports for sizes over 34B.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGreat Bra

This bra is extremely confortable and breaths well. I will say that it runs a tad small so you may want to go up a size. The great thing is that it has tons of support but doesn't make you look completely flat which I find many sports bras do.

Good for the purpose I bought it

I bought this mainly to wear to Bikram yoga. I didn't want to spend for stuff that I can only use for hot yoga, so I decided to buy something that is generally for all types of workout I do. I tried this for running (low impact, 10min/mi# and it offered sufficient support. It's funny because when I tried it on to do my abs and arm exercises while the kids watched Max and Ruby, the elastic band that goes across the chest felt very loose. I'm used to very tight, compressing sports bra, not because I need that much support but because I thought that was the way they came in. This sports bra almost felt like it will ride over my breasts when I lift my arms. I was resigned to just use it for yoga but it held up well for my running #I do 10min/mi, max 3mi). I wear a 34C regularly and the medium fit well. Very easy to get in and out of, which is a relief from my other sports bras.
Pros: Ease of use, Great valuegreat support

This sports bra worked very well for me and I would recommend it. It pinched a little in my armpits when I first put it on, but I didn't notice while I was running. I'm a 34C and i bought the small - but I buy sports bras small because I can't stand the feel (or the look!) of the bounce - I tried the medium and it was more comfortable and easier to put on, but when I did a test run, there was just too much movement for me. The small had plenty of compression, but it wasn't like I couldn't breathe. I notice the description says it wicks, but I'm not a particularly sweaty person and there was definite "dampness" in there after a 20 minute run... the material is pretty thick and maybe that's why it didn't seem to wick as much as I'd expected. Anyway, I would recommend this bra as a sturdy and high-compression, but still decently comfortable sports bra.
Pros: Build quality, Performancegreat fit and comfort

This bra is formfitting and provides great comfort. I mainly purchased it because of the beautiful amaranth color to give coverage and add color when wearing a tank with low neckline. It does not provide that super support a compression bra does for running but is great for other low impact acitvities or casual wear (because of the great color).
