Patagonia Women's R1 Flash Pullover (OLD)

When it's all about making the right moves, Patagonia's newly enhanced R1® has you covered for climbing, skiing, hiking, biking, running and more. This new design features a blend of Spandex and Polartec® Power Dry® fleece for added stretch with optimal coverage. Patagonia also added lighter weight R.5® fleece stretch panels along the wrist and hem to minimize bulk and maximize mobility. R.1® polyester fleece features lightweight yarns that wick moisture away from your skin and transport it to the exterior high-surface area yarns for fast evaporation. The inner face has a grid pattern that enhances airflow and makes it easy to compress for easy packing. Up front is an offset zipper along the neck to keep cold metal away from your skin.

awesome
The moment my R1 Flash Pullover arrived I took it out for a jog. In 40 degree weather and just a sports bra underneath it was enough to keep me warm. It wicks superbly, much better than standard fleece, and the texture inside is nubby and fuzzy and incredibly comfortable. I found the length perfect--I have a somewhat long torso and find that many items ride up around my middle when running, but this length is great. It would probably only be too long if you were wearing a climbing harness. The sizing was a little looser than I expected. Other "medium" women's items from Patagonia fit me quite snugly, whereas this one is definitely roomy enough to accommodate at least a midweight layer underneath. If you plan to wear it with no base layer, either in warmer temps or just as streetwear, and you like a snug fit, you might want to order one size down.

Casual or Sporty
This is a great Pullover that you can wear running, hiking, or just walking about, even shopping! The large is a roomy fit, and the colour (purple mist)is really beautiful. The outside fabric is a cozy waffle weave and inside is typical Patagonia fuzzy. It can worn with a singlet or turtleneck underneath depending on the weather. Highly recommended!

The R1 flash pullover is great!
It is so warm,yet light enough to layer. Flattering to the figure as well. Love it!

Don't leave home without it!
R1 Flash Pullover should be an integral part of most serious outdoors people layering system. This pullover is a year-round item, under a shell while skiing or over a sports bra post-biking in the summer and it the perfect as a spring running top. Only negative, the pullover is a little long on the body.
