Patagonia Women's R.5 Top
Stretchy enough for extended cool weather workouts. Plush enough for inner layer insulation during Nordic skiing outings. Patagonia's R.5™ Top delivers outstanding next-to skin performance in a variety of weather conditions. This is a popular piece for climbers, trail runners, backpackers and anybody else who demands thermal comfort that won't stifle mobility. The fabric has a special gird pattern that helps retain warmth while wicking moisture and enhancing breathability. Patagonia recently revised this garment, changing the zip-front to an offset design that won't scratch your chin or neck. The turtleneck collar is also slightly higher for better coverage. This is a great do-it-all piece that works well in every season.

I found the Patagonia R.5 shirt in 2003 and have not been able to do without it since! The R.5 is ultra flattering to my curves and it always keeps me warm and in style in the backcountry and in the city. Two thumps way up to patagonia!

I would and will buy it again at full price in another color. It is warm, light, wicks well, you don't overheat as the day warms up and it has a great fit. It takes 10 pounds off of you and that is always a good thing, right?

I've been wearing this top as my base layer for several years. Day-hiking, lightweight backpacking, XC ski, and biking. Very light, and never feels soggy. Nice close fit without feeling tight or binding.

For cold weather hiking, this is my favorite shirt. It keeps me warm, clings nicely without being tight, and dries quickly if it gets sweaty. Is a good length and I love the zippered front for venting or keeping toasty warm. It is also a very stylish shirt that looks good off the trail.

comfortable, light weight, and great for travel. Mine came with a flaw in the zipper, sewn in at an angle. But I kept it anyway because it was so usable. Underarms are a snug fit.
