I am glad I ordered this. This is comfy, warmth, and light. I love Patagonia products. However, I did not like the color, tomato. When I saw it online, I thought the color was cute. But, it was too bright for me. Except that, I love this product!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: color (tomato)
Love this pullover
March 12, 2012
This is my first Re-Tool Hoody. I have a couple of the regular pullovers. I really like the Re-Tool with the hood option. It's great as an extra layer in really cold weather and on it's own for a little warmth. The large fit for me is true to size at 5'3", 160. At this size I can add a couple layers under or wear it on it's own without any trouble. I bought the darker blue and the color is true to the picture. Overall I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone interested.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
October 01, 2012
Haven't tested it in super duper cold weather yet but so far is really comfy and warm...very soft as well. Looking forward to wearing it on cold nights in January!Pros: Build quality
August 19, 2012
I love hoodies and this one is one of the best. The colors are rich and eye appealing. The fit is perfect since it flatters the waist and is not big and boxy. I wear mine to walk my dog on cold days. Perfect choice!
January 28, 2013
I like this hoody a lot. It's true to size and keeps me warm. I recommend it.Pros: Performance, Ease of use, Great value
January 15, 2013
I am very pleased with my Re-Tool Hoody. It is extremely comfortable, yet very warm. I plan to buy another one soon. And, as always the quality is great, which is what you would expect from Patagonia.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
April 19, 2013
As a Patagonia lover, I wasn't surprised by my extreme satisfaction with this pull over. Perfectly comfortable and cozy. Fits true to size. I love the added warmth and option with the hood for those windy days that chill your ears! Cheers to Patagonia for another great fleece!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
December 02, 2012
Love this fleece. I ordered this in the off-white color and couldn't be more pleased with it. This fits true to size and it very comfortable. Just what I was looking for at a great price.Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
Soft, comfy, and warm
April 25, 2013
I go to school in Maine where Patagonia flecces are basically a necessity so I was looking for a staple to add to my wardrobe. This jacket is what anyone would classically expect from Patagonia: comfy, warm, and durable. It's super soft, fit a teeny bit on the small side (I'm 5'6, athletic build), and the pink lining is slightly brighter than in the picture, but overall it's a good purchase. In the end I decided to return it just because I wasn't sure this fleece was quite my style, but I would still highly recommend it to others.Pros: Great design, Build quality
April 08, 2013
I have been looking for a great hoody that is warm and comfortable for those chilly winter nights. So happy!! I bought the xs, and I am 5'2, 120 pounds. Great fit.Pros: Great design, Great value
Still My Favorite
March 05, 2013
I just purchased the white patagonia re-tool hoody. I love it. It is extremely comfortable to wear, but also looks nice enough to wear to work or out with friends when it's cold out. Though patagonia can be a little expensive their products really stand the test of time and are worth it. I've also had a blue one for almost a year now and it has held it's color well and still looks great even though I probably wear it a couple times a week. The fit is true to size. I would definately reccommend it to anyone that wants a comfortable pullover.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use
My First Patagonia
February 07, 2013
I've always wanted a Patagonia, so when I found a good deal on this one I decided to go for it. I originally ordered a medium but found it to be a little snug (however, I tend to wear my clothes/jackets a little larger) so I opted to reorder a large. I think I am somewhere in between the two sizes because the large looks kind of bulky, however I prefer that over fitted. Overall, I do really enjoy this jacket a lot and am glad I got it. But that being said, I don't know that I love it enough to be willing to pay full price for it.Pros: Lasts forever, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
April 29, 2013
This hooded fleece is super cozy and warm. It's great for spring skiing or a chilly summer night. It does fit kind of large. I'm 5'8 and 128 lbs. I ordered a medium but wish i had ordered a small. The length of the sleeves are plenty long and even the length of the fleece is on the longer side. I love the unseen detail around the actual hood where it lays on your shoulders. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: fit is slightly too large
April 15, 2013
my daughter loves this jacket, it is very warm and soft. the jacket is slim fit , it's more like a shirt to me.Pros: Build quality, Great value
January 20, 2013
love this hoodie. i wear it more as a sweatshirt than a jacket. its cozy and great with layers under it. i am usually between and small and xsmall in patagonia. even though this says slim fit, i found the xsmall to be a better fit. the small was bulky.
I LOVE THIS HOODY!
October 25, 2012
I absolutely LOVE this hoody. I ordered it with the intention of wearing it underneath my windproof Patagonia jacket--because it doesn't say that it's windproof-- but have been pleasantly surprised at how wind resistant--and warm!-- it is on its own. I live and work in a high desert environment where fall and winter is very windy and bought this with the intention of working in it outdoors. I have worn this hoody just about every day since I purchased it and have washed it multiple times. The garment washes very well, it's soft, very comfortable, and the hood is handy in the wind. I ordered a size large--even though I'm a medium--knowing that Patagonia tends to run a little on the small side, but in hindsight, I should have just ordered the medium. I have the maraschino red color which I absolutely love and I plan on purchasing the walnut brown one--in a medium this time!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
LOVE these!!! Own 3!
June 11, 2013
These jackets are the best. I just love them. They are so cuddly and soft. Provide light warmth but not too much that I can't keep them on in the house as a sweater. They wash so well - come out looking new! I think they run true to size - the fit allows for a bit of extra room so you are comfortable and can layer a bit. Colors always stay bright - I've never had fading from the wash. Can't say enough great things about these! Right now, I own 3 and will most likely buy more.Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Great value
Nice but it runs big... get size smaller
December 30, 2012
I got the size small and it ran large. Because of the size, the fit was not right. However, I like the material and it seems very warm enough. Since the fit was not right, I have to return it. I tried X-SMALL but it was short. Please try them out before you place an order.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: fit
January 28, 2013
Love this jacket, it is so warm and versatile. makes a great layer under a winter coat on those extra cold days!Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Ease of use
Great for in-between weather
February 21, 2013
I really love this jacket!! It's great to just throw on and go. Be careful when wearing a hoodie with this, it can be a lttle bit of work. I have not worn it in extreme cold because I don't think it would be heavy enough, but layered I think it would work great. I highly recommend!!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value
Patagonia Always Good All Around
April 13, 2013
Great midlayer. Very warm, comfy, and soft. Great for a layering piece if in colder weather. It does fit a little larger. I am 5'6 weigh 120 and have 32 DD. I bought the small thinking and there is still a lot of extra room. Which is great for layering but does not look very form fitting. The kangaroo pouch makes it look baggy in the front not giving a good formed looked. So if that is what you are looking for this probably isn't the one.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great value
Women's Re-Tool Hoody
February 22, 2013
I love this lightweight and warm hoody so much that I bought one for my daughter! I ordered a large and usually wear a medium so they run a little on the small side.Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
Patagonia Re Tool Hoodie
May 09, 2013
This is a great pull-over, comfy and soft. A nice layer with enough room to easily fit over most basic tops. Patagonia attention to detail. My new go-to for chilly days, hikes and camping but this will look great around town, too. Highly recommend.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Low performance
October 09, 2012
Bought this pullover before last winter and fell in love with it. So warm and soft. The breast pocket is great for small valuable items and the mesh stomach pocket is quite large. The pullover runs a bit short in the length. I am a small person so it fits me quite well. This pullover is very durable and made of great quality. I would recommend buying it.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Great value
August 30, 2011
This jacket is so warm and fuzzy . . . fits true to size and the teal color is beautiful. The jacket is very well made and the front pockets are roomy without being too bulky. Highly reccomended!
i love my patagonia!
January 09, 2013
this was the first patagonia i have purchased and i love it! i bought the off white one and it goes with everything. it is so comfortable and its like my go-to jacket now. the hood is also a plus so i can wear it when its raining. everyone should buy this patagonia, its the best.Pros: Great design, Great value
November 23, 2012
This jacket it incredibly soft and comfortable. It's perfect for outdoor activities or just wearing inside on a chilly day. It's a loose fit but not too baggy. I am 5' 3", 125 lbs, and a size small fits great. If you want a tight fit I would recommend purchasing a size smaller though. Overall, it's a great jacket. I would definitely purchase this again!
March 11, 2013
I love this hoody. It is extremely soft, comfortable and warm. I literally want to wear it all the time. I ordered small, fits good. I am Small in Patagonia jackets, and the fit of this sweater is a big "roomier" than other smalls in Patagonia or TNF. I like my clothes fitted, and the kangaroo pocket brings extra fabric to the tummy making it look "puffier", but this sweater is so comfortable I do not mind at all.Pros: Build quality, Performance

I Love it - wore it camping in the low 30s and it kept me warm and cozy. It's also nice around the house.Pros: Build quality, Ease of use
cozy and comfy
February 11, 2013
Recently bought one of these hoodies, and it is super-cozy. The inside is very long fleece that feels great against your skin, and the outside is a slightly shaggy fleece. Not as shaggy as the Patagonia high-loft stuff, but much more so than their standard fleece. The hood fits perfectly, and doesn't fall down, even though it doesn't have drawstrings. Sleeves and hem are just the right length -- I still have coverage even when I reach my arms up. I've barely taken this jacket off since I got it! A few things to keep in mind. First, the grey color (nickel) is WAY lighter than shown here. Really more of a silvery grey than the charcoal-ish color shown, and the trim is bright pink not purple. The red (which I returned mine for) is much more true to what you see on screen. Also, this runs quite small for Patagonia. I usually wear a small or medium in most brands, and a small in Patagonia. The small here fit me, but was much more fitted than I would want this type of fleece to be (more like a base layer), especially in the neck and mid-section. For reference, I'm 5'6 and about 135lbs. I returned mine and got a medium, and was much happier with it. It's not baggy, but it gives me a bit more wiggle room.Pros: Great design, warm, great color, comfortable
Great camping layer
April 12, 2013
This hoody is soft as a bunny, but does not get pilly. I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs, and ordered a medium, and it is definitely quite roomy, but leaves space for potential layering. The kangaroo pocket is very large, if you load it up, you'll probably look preggers, but its convenient for carrying things. My only complaint is that the cuffs on the sleeves are slightly tight...I like to pull my sleeves up, and the cuffs are a bit uncomfortable for that (although I have large forearms). Overall, another great Patagonia jacket!
March 28, 2013
Like most fleeces, it's not great for wind protection, but when it's calm out, it's very warm. But the best thing about this fleece? The sleeves are long enough! I have long arms, and finding anything with long sleeves that are actually long enough is a challenge, but this did it!Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value
October 28, 2011
I absolutely love my new hoody! I got it in the lime green and the color is awesome. It fits very nicely and true to size too. I always get a small in shirts and jackets, which is what I ordered here, and it is perfect/ It is also light weight but warm at the same time. I reccomend this hoody to anyone who is considering buying it!
February 10, 2013
Love this hoody! Warm and fuzzy. I had hoped it would be a little more slim-fitting, but it was so warm and fuzzy that I couldn't bring myself to send it back for the next size down. Also, yes, it is very warm, but I would not recommend it for any wind-proofing. Definitely needs a base layer to help with wind. Otherwise, a great purchase!Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
A great hoody!
November 05, 2011
I really like this hoody! It's extremely soft and very warm, and I have been able to layer it under larger jackets (although so far I have only really worn it under a vest or rain jacket). I purchased an XS and I am 5'3" and about 95 lbs. It fits nicely and I could probably also put a light sweater underneath (but I am rather small person). The colors are vivid and quite nice. The magenta is somewhat brighter than the product pictures are able to capture, but I do still love it. A friend has the turquoise and it is a very nice, rich turquoise. I am most impressed with the hood, which is warm and stays on my head, even in the wind! I frequently run into a problem where hoods do not want to stay on my head, since I am rather petite. The hood is really more utilitarian than what some may consider cute, but it looks just fine and works wonderfully! Oh, and if you want to keep wind out completely you will need to throw a windbreaker over it : )
soft and fashionable hoody
November 18, 2011
I absolutely love this hoody. I've been looking for an off white/cream jacket as a neutral over lighter winter colors and either they were too yellow or gray or dingy,etc.... That said, not only is the color perfect but it is incredibly soft on the outside and inside of the hoody. The fit is comfortable--not too tight or too loose. I'm 5'2" , 110lbs. and XS is perfect.
February 22, 2013
This jacket is the best. It's super cozy warm and completely adorable. It looks good with everything! It fits very true to size and the shape is flattering. You really can't go wrong! It's a great basic jacket to have.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: none

April 12, 2013
I have quite a few Patagonia fleeces, but this one if by far the softest and most comfortable. It's the same soft fleece both inside and out. I like fleeces a bit bigger and ordered the large (a medium would've fit perfectly), but I like the fact that I can wear multiple layers underneath. It is very warm and super comfortable. I highly recommend it! I got it on sale at Altrec as well, so the price was awesome!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great value
Love this hoody
November 02, 2012
I'm 5'9'' and the large size fits perfect. Very cozy and comfy for fall nights. The length of the sleeves is perfect for my tall build. I want to buy one in every color!
November 28, 2012
I love this hoody! It is so soft and warm. Perfect for hiking, skiing and everyday outdoor activities. I have gotten so many compliments on the style as well. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
Adorable and Warm!
February 10, 2013
As I have found with most Patagonia products, this hoody is fantastic. Extremely warm and durable while looking very cute at the same time. The hoody is very soft and functional as well. I order a medium and found it slightly larger than I expected.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

great garment from patagoina! love the color and fits very well wear it on the rainy day and another thin wind protector will definitely keep you warm for the whole day 160cm 55kg fits in size s
Re-tool is awesome
July 04, 2013
I am so pleased with this product. It is very well made as all of my Patagonia purchases have been. I am 5'4 and 120lbs and the small fits perfectly. I used this hoody all winter long on camping and climbing trips. Needless to say it has been washed numerous times and looks just as it did when it came out of the box. It does not disappoint. It definitely does not block any wind, but with a thermal underneath I was super warm.Pros: Great design, Performance
March 26, 2013
Love this to wear out or just around the house. This pullover is so soft and comfortable I want to wear it every day.Pros: Great value
January 21, 2013
I bought this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! She normally wears a medium, but after just having a baby, I ordered up a size. It fits well, although the medium would have most likely worked too. It's large enough to wear a sweater underneath and yet fitted to layer under a heavier outer coat. The hood does help keep her warmer, though not much of a wind barrier. Also, this new style of the re-tool is longer than the previous version, an added bonus! It is super soft and easily washed. She hangs it up to dry.Pros: Great design, Ease of use
