Patagonia Simple Guide Pants for Women. Whether you're en route to Europe or Tierra del Fuego , these Guides pant deal with burly approaches, coarse granite encounters, and four-legged local transportation without a whimper. The double-weave polyester / spandex, blend is Deluge®DWR (durable water repellent) finished, and gives you plenty of stretches when you need to make your move. This Patagonia pant is durable while remaining lightweight, moves sweat, breathes, and resists weather. New styling that includes straight lower legs, a partially elasticized waistband with a zippered fly, is enhanced with standard articulated knees, a gusseted crotch, and DWR treated reverse-coil zippers. Sporting two front, one thigh and one rear hip pocket, the Simple Guide Pant is recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Everything I need from pants.
My job requires me to backpack two weeks out of the month, so I was looking for a high-quality, durable pair of hiking pants that I could use for layering in winter, or solo in spring/summer. These pants are perfect - lightweight, durable, and practical. Love the cargo pocket, love the soft lining on the inside of the waist/pockets, love the breathability and water repellancy. Normally, I wouldn't spend so much on a pair of pants, but considering the high quality and excellent warranty, these pants are worth the investment.

Perfect Fit !!
The FIT is really what separates the simple guide pants from the others. I have tried a lot of other pants which are comparable in quality and comfort but nothing comes close with the way this pant fits. Versatile and reasonably priced.

Perfect Lightweight Softshell Pants
I was looking for a good pair of multi-purpose softshell pants to use for xc skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, etc and these seemed to fit the bill. I was a little nervous ordering online without trying them on (though I have had great experiences with past returns through Altrec). Luckily I was very pleasantly surprised with the fit and feel of these pants once I received them! The size M fits perfect and is flattering to my 58 140lb shape. The length is just right, however if they were any shorter I think Id be disappointedhowever with boots the length works well. Though they are lightweight, they keep me warm in the coldest of weather with a baselayer underneath. All in all, awesome pair of multi-purpose softshell pants. Kudos Patagonia!

Formfitting: Conforms to the body's contours.
Slim Fit: Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
Regular Fit: Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.
Relaxed Fit: Drapes loosely on the body.
Classic Boy Fit: Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.
Anika Fit: Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).
