The material is strong and not thin at all. The cut just didn't work for me. I really wish it did because the top I ordered to go with fit perfect! I will definitely try Patagonia again for swim. Altrec also shipped quickly!

Cute but too large

I love the cut of these bottoms as they are low rise and have ample coverage in the back, but they ended up being too big. After wearing them in the water I realized just how big they were as they were gapping in the back. I am 5'2" and about 100 lbs and I think an xs would have worked out better for me. I typically wear a size small in bathing suit bottoms, so it seems to me that they run a bit large. As always, Patagonia makes quality product and offers amazing lifetime guarantees on workmanship... One of many great reasons to purchase their products.

I love boy shorts and thought these would fit great but they were a little too low across the hips- I ordered the solid Betina bottoms and am much happier.

I LOVE these bottoms. Saw them in the Patagonia catalog and bought them here the next day. They are just as cute in person as on the internet/in a magazine. I bought the kupala top to match, in the aquarium color. These are going to be perfect for pool, beach, and river days this summer. Coverage is generous, I won't have to worry about an exposed cheek while running to keep up with my busy family. Sizing seems pretty spot on, maybe runs a little large. I bought a small and they fit, they're a little loose but I think an XS would end up being too small. I'm 5'1" about 110lbs.

The style is perfect for water spots and just what I was looking for, but they were too big. I ordered a small. I am 5'2 100lbs. I had to return because the hips puckered in the front and I was worried that when wet, they would droop. Very cute and good quality though.
