Sizing ChartFit Tip: I wear a size 2 in Patagonia clothing and found that these shorts run a bit small. I fit into a size 4 very well. I recommend sizing up one size with these shorts.
Patagonia Women's Wavefarer Board Shorts
Featherweight Wavefarers offer luxurious all-day comfort in the waves. Made from 100% nylon that's recyclable through our Common Threads Recycling Program, they feature a stretch-mesh gusset fly with one plastic button and a flat tie closure for a secure fit. Angled side panels and a back yoke with shaping darts refine the fit; topstitching adds durability. The welted side pocket with key loop has a button closure. Inseam (size 8) is 4". Low rise.Slim fit.

Customer service was great with helping return and reorder different size. Just be aware - If you have a figure, definitely go at least one size up!

I ordered these in a size 6 because everyone was saying that they ran small. Unfortunately the 6 was too big. They fit just a little big around the waist, (I wear a 27 in jeans) it didn't bother me until I got in the water and it made them float up higher around me and I knew I needed a size smaller. I am waiting on my size 4 to get here to see how they fit. But from the one time that I wore them they seem durable, long lasting and made of good material. I like the fact that they are not super short but not super long in length. Overall I am satisfied with these shorts and am ready for my other ones to get here!

I purchased these in the mineral springs color. After reading some of the reviews I decided to size up because people were saying they were really small. I usually wear a 27' pant, and I sized up to a 10. While they fit really nicely on my waist, they are just a little to big everywhere else. I'm going to go down to an 8 and they should be perfect. The color is great and the length is perfect for someone who wants shorts that are neither too long or too short. Really flattering!

I like these shorts better than the watergirl shorts I bought from Altrec last summer. They have a low cut waist and don't bunch up at the front closure. I usually wear a 2 or 4 petite and the women's 2 fit me perfectly. I wish they came in more colors.

As a water fitness instructor it's a Y standard to wear shorts with our swimsuits. I have found that it's harder to find a lasting pair of shorts than a swimsuit. This one will hold up to the chlorine and heavy usage over a long period of time in the pool. Great fabric and well made product. Not to mention the good fit.

I wasn't sure about which size to get since typically Patagonia sizing runs a little large on me. These fit true to size. With this in mind when ordering the right size, I'm happy with the cut/fit of the short! They do run on the shorter side for board shorts.

Love the look. I prefer a little more coverage and the length of these shorts are just right. However, the sizing is very small. I had to order two sizes up from my usual size.

got a big butt and big thighs , but a tiny waist? these board shorts are pretty much exactly what you need them to be -- they're not too long, not too short, not too tight, and the back doesn't gap too badly -- totally simple, straightforward board shorts for the over 40 crowd!

I wear a size 10 and the size 10 I ordered are waaayyy small. I missed where they are described as low rise. They show my crack. Not exactly the look I was going for. I'll let you know how easily they are returned.

These board shorts would have been great if the sizing was right. I usually wear a size 6 or 8. I ordered these shorts in a size 10 because I wanted them baggy and I thought they might run small. Well a size 10 is too small! Really tight on the hips uuugh.
