Perfect length and comfort
May 04, 2011

Great short!! Perfect length, being a bit longer than normal providing good compression to the whole thigh. Very comfy, good fit! I was thinking I needed a new saddle for my new road bike, but these shorts made all the difference.

Great product

Bought these because of another good review and was pleasantly pleased with the result. Padding stays in place well, stitching seems good. Overall great product!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Plenty of Padding
September 09, 2010

I use the Quest shorts for spinning and they provide a great deal of padding and comfort. More padding than any other shorts I've worn.

Good shorts but....

So I have a few other PI items that have held up well over time. I wanted a new pair of light compression shorts and these were on sale and had some very good reviews. I usually wear a large, being 6ft, 195lbs, and these fit very well. I have thicker quads and a thin waist so I have to pull up the shorts a bit higher as they ride down over time, but nothing that disrupts the ride. The length and look is good and clean. My problem is that as I am training for a century, I put nearly 75miles on in one day, and I am already noticing some chaffing on one of my rear cheeks. This hasn't happened on my other PI shorts nor my girl's PI shorts for over 300 miles in the past few months. It may just be a lemon as I have faith that these shorts are as good as they feel/look. Im gonna ride a bit more with these and see if the same spot shows wear as the saddle is new and clean. If they do continue to wear in the same spot, I will have to return.

very comfortable bike shorts

I wear these shorts under my bike pants for long distance rides. They really help with comfort on long rides. Padding is just right, not too soft and just enough to help you.

Pros: Great design, Build quality

Fit is on the small side
August 01, 2011

I bought these shorts based on the decent price and because my others shorts were worn out. I ordered a medium, the size I normally wear for my 5'10" 150 lb frame. The shorts are too small and tight around the front (if you know what I mean). Even after 150 km (10 X 15 km rides) they haven't loosened up at all. The waste and legs fit fine and the material is good quality. The stitching between the saddle and the leg is uncomfortable and rides up as you wear them. The seams aren't flat stitched which leaves a material edge down the front and back of the leg. They are of course more comfortable than not wearing riding shorts and perhaps had I ordered a size larger I wouldn't have so many issues, but since I purchase size medium in everything else I expected these would be fine in a size medium too. Bottom line, for the price, the quality is fine, but for your own sake, if you really want these think about buying a size larger than normal and probably they'll be fine for the recreational rider. Next time I'll try another (probably more expensive) brand.

Great quality and value for the money

I purchased a pair of Quest shorts a couple years ago and this new version did not disappoint. The chamois is very comfortable on any type of ride. The material is breathable and lighter than my first pair. I like the 6-panel design compared to the 8-panel. The only thing that kept me from a 5 rating was the fact that the shorts didn't have a draw string. Still great shorts though.
