Moving to Oregon has made me get off the pavement and on to the many trails that are around my house. I have light weight running shoes so was looking for same in a trail shoe but not ready for barefoot. The pearl izumi peak 2 is super light weight and has enough traction to tackle the steepest of trails. I did have to order a 1/2 size up, they ran a little small. They are well worth the purchase.

I love how light weight and breathable these shoes are! I wasn't sure if they were going to provide enough support, but after trying them on a couple of runs, I'm hooked. Hooked enough to buy a second pair!

Great seamless shoe! Style and colors are nice too. Bought 2 pair in fact. Wore Nikes most of my life, but other than the Hirache years ago, no other brand fits like this and are as comfortable in the toes as these for running shoes when I race. Lightweight and work well on the trail if you can handle less support for a neutral running shoe. A co-worker of mine tried on a pair of different Pearl Izumi running shoes and compared to the other brands she tried, she likes them too. Never would have thought this would be the shoe I would buy after reading many reviews on running shoes. Try them and you might also like them. Even my PR has improved the last 2 races since I wore them!
