One of the lightest half ropes on the market, the Petzl Dragonfly Climbing Rope has 36% of its material in the sheath to give it the durability to stand up to the demands of ice and alpine climbs. This rope uses a single-pick construction to create a tight sheath that keeps out dirt and protect the core. An added dry treatment to the sheath and core keeps this rope from adding water weight in varied mountain environments. A center mark makes for quick half roping and easy management. Ideal for double-rope technique, rope drag is reduced and the margin of safety is increased when using the Drangonfly on a wandering alpine route.
