Description

The women's version of the Adjama, the Petzl® Women's LUNA Harness delivers exceptional comfort specifically designed for the female physique with its shaped Frame Construction technology. A thick and comfortable polyethylene/EVA foam padded waistbelt and leg loops distribute pressure for a full day of climbing, while an air mesh lining dries quickly and avoids chafing. Suitable for all levels of women climbers and ascending interests; whether on a long alpine route, rock pillar, or frozen waterfall.

  • Materials: High-strength polyester webbing, Polyethylene/EVA foam, Perforated closed cell foam, Woven polyester 3D mesh, High-strength mono-filament nylon mesh
  • Frame Construction design uses webbing tape along waistbelt and leg loops for strength and support, while area between tape distributes weight evenly
  • Thick, comfortable polyethylene/EVA foam padded waistbelt and leg loops
  • Air mesh lining dries quickly and avoids chafing; nylon mesh on exterior is abrasion-resistant
  • Adjustable leg loops allow size to be adjusted depending on comfort desired or layers of clothing worn and permit the harness to be put on when wearing skis or crampons
  • DoubleBack buckles are pre-threaded and adjust quickly with a single pull, helping to ensure proper closure
  • Belay loop redesigned to reinforce safety when you tie in, helping users identify proper tie-in / attachment point
  • Rigid, inclined front gear loops for easy access to gear
  • Flexible rear loops stay out of the way while wearing a pack
  • Trail line loop; two CARITOOL slots; detachable elastic leg loop straps
  • Shape of the waist belt is designed to fit a woman's waist and lower back; rise has been increased; waist-to-leg loop-size ratio has been reduced

Great harness!

I purchased this as a gift for a friend. It fit her perfectly. This item fits true to size. She has climbed for several years and said this is one of the most comfortable fits she has ever had. The quality is superior and the fit is perfect.

I have truly enjoy the Luna Harness for Women. The fit is outstanding & Comfort too. I would truly recommend this harness to small frame women who have a hard time finding one to fit.

Comfortable but too long of a rise

My husband's petzl harness is way too short-waisted for me with my long torso. short-legged. I am a curvy 5'6", 185lbs woman with short legs and a long-torso (buy long-torso swim suits) and a hefty backside. After I tried a medium LUNA on at a local store and liked the padding and ease of the buckles, I ordered a large. The medium size legs and waist had been a couple of inches too small for comfot but my measurements matched up for the large. I was suprised that the rise was too long on the large with the longer loop. Its like they overcompensated there compared to the size of the waist and legs. I am concerned that if I fall and the legs are not very tight, they could slide down to my mid-thighs. I am trying it on now and the harness stays at the waist nicely and with the elastic at the back, it couldn't easily slide the rest of the way off if I fell upside down but it is a little disconcerting how much the legs slide down if not tight. Also the padding at the waist doesn't come around far enough (I have a 35" waist) to pad under the buckle on the left side. I think I will try to re-sale it to someone with a larger backside and smaller waist at the local gym since it is not returnable. The padding is comfy though.

This harness is so different from the harness I used in the past. Very comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Two thumbs up!
