Excellent battery life and ultralight
This headlamp has held up for a good 60 miles of backpacking so far this year. Battery life is excellent and retractable wire makes it clutter free. One of the best headlamps out there.

Excellent for me
The older I get, the more I understand the mindset of the ultralight campers. The less weight I carry, the less weight I carry! To that end, this is about as light a light as I could find that still used AAA batteries. There are lighter and smaller headlamps, but on such a critical item, I wanted to have the candlepower to reach out and even run with as well as the battery life to last 3-7 nights. This headlamp does the trick with enough modes that are intuitively accessed. As much of a gear hound as I am, I won't be looking to pass this down to one of my kids so I can get a new gadget.

Best Headlamp!
I bought this headlamp with little expectation, but it turned out to be one of the most useful lights I have. Great for when you need to be hands free.

Good headlamp
Bought this Zipka to try out the zip versus the headband (Tikka).
They are very similar, except that the Zipka has a much smaller footprint and you can wear it on your arm or wrist.
However, I've noticed that there is no tilt on the Zipka, and that means when you wear it on your forehead, you only have one angle.
This is somewhat disappointing since you would not expect removal of functionality from a higher model.

Love this headlamp!
We live in Costa Rica and use headlamps/flashlights everyday. It is mandatory in the jungle and important to have a light that is of good quality and handy. We have many friends that own the Zipka and they all say it is the perfect headlamp and have it handy in their pockets while we are running around searching for our old style head lamp. Well, we finally broke down and bought two Zipka's. We have been using them for only two weeks now, but we already don't know what we ever did without them. Love them!
