My friends want one!
Whenever my freinds see this reservoir they comment how nice it seems. It has features like a large opening which is easy to clean inside and dry out, unlike others that have a small opening and leave a stink. My friend told me it is also compatible with military issue attachments the military uses for Humvee and outpost filtration systems. I also enjoy the feature that allows me to effortlessly feed my tube through my pack without being attached to the bladder, and then an easy snap in place to begin using. Be bladder yet, as it looks like new after 2 years of heavy use.

I am happy to get rid of my Camelbak Hydration S.
I bought this item to replace my Camelbak Hi Sys. So far I have been using it on my Nordic Skiing Trip. I just put it in my Gregory Miwok Pack and there I go.
During frigid days, I put the hose inside the pack because once frozen, it serves no purpose at all. Overall, a great buy!

After some exhaustive research
Worked flawlessly. I don't have any experience with other camelbak systems as this is my first one. But after exhaustive research on different products, I can say that I'm glad I chose this one. It's been perfect.

Finally what I was looking for!
I have used several different hydration packs; however, this is the best so far. There was never any plastic or rubber taste. There was good flow, and it is easy to refill with the big zip - so much easier than unscrewing a big cap. The bag is very durable, and holds a nice amount of water; I have used it day in and day out for work. I have already recommended this to friends.

Super Easy
The widemouth zip makes filling and cleaning easy as well as does the quick disconnect hose. You can also keep this in the freezer which is awesome. I actually store mine in the freezer to prevent any mold at all from accumulating. There is no plastic taste, but the flow seems a bit weaker than some of the other bladders I've used but is overall not too bad. Great bladder, I definitely recommend it.

Will Never Go Back to The Pump
Having used various styles of water purification over the years I'm delighted that I took the leap of faith to try this product. It is both fast and simple to use. I do suggest that you carry a vessel to add water the 'Dirty Water" bag. It will make it easier than trying to fill the pouch from a shallow stream. No complaints with the filter. Just follow the instructions and backwash after each use. I would recommend this product to any of my hardcore backpacking friends.

The best hydration system I've ever owned!
I have had North Face, Camelback and Neagle and by far this beats them all. I use it for mountain biking and backpacking. This size provides me enough water for 2 days hiking even when I don't feel like I am conserving very much. The best feature in my opinion is the wide mouth. It makes it much easier to clean and it also drys thoroughly (unlike my Camelback which mildewed even using the hanger system).

Very easy to use features
The Platypus has a superb design and easy to use features. Its a hassle free hydration, I really am pleased with auto-shutoff valve when removing the hose from the bladder which makes removal of the whole system from my backpack a breeze.

Great design, plenty of volume
I like the Platypus design better than the Camelback. I got tired of switching my Camelback 2L from my day pack to my big Kelty pack for longer trips. I also wanted more volume. My boyfriend has the 2L Big Zip and loves it, so I bought this one and it's great. The best feature is the quick disconnect hose.
