The Platypus Softbottle seems very durable thus far. The material is sturdy yet light. There is not aftertaste from the bottle in the water even after sitting long periods. The bottle will comfortably fit in a cargo pocket. Although the size is as advertised I would probably order a larger size for long hikes if its my only water source.
