Good Pants
December 24, 2011
I plan to use the pants for travel and hiking. They are more stylish than some convertible pants. I particularly like the longer 12" shorts. Fit is good; I'm 5'11", 160 pounds with a 33" waist and a 33" inseam. The medium - 32" inseam was too short for me. The medium - 34" inseam works better and I can have them shortened a little if necessary. These pants differ a little from the non-convertible Zion pants. They only have 1 rear pocket, lack belt loops, and have 2 zippered pockets on the legs. The rear pocket lacks any kind of button, flap or zipper to secure your wallet. I plan to add a piece of zelcro to keep it closed.

Favorite convertible pants

These are my favorite convertible pants I have ever owned. They are very comfortable for being made of fast drying synthetic materials. The thing that sets these prAna pants apart from the other brands that I have owned (Mountain Khakis, Columbia, The North Face) is the "stretch" in the fabric, it is far more comfortable than other brand's material, making recreating all that much more enjoyable.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, comfortgood quality, good fit...

firstly these are great pants. totally live up to prana's name and reputation. excellent quality, well built. size - Medium = ~32 waist. taking the lower legs off and putting them back on is easy as pie. zippers are convienantly on the outside - so you dont feel them at all. for those of you who wear the prana knickers - this material appears to be a bit different (a little thicker and different texture). also when you do pull the legs off - the short barely cover your knees...again for you knicker wearers - who are used to the pant leg cover 1/2 of your calf - this is different, but this is mostly just a style issue - material is light weight and wicks water like anyother prana product...if you need convertibale pants - highyl recommend them.

I have three pairs of this pants and I love it so I bought one for my boyfriend. He loves the material, colour and everything but it did not fit him at all. He is 6'3'' and about 175 lb. 34 inch Large was way too big for him. So I am returning the product and placing the order for smaller size for him.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Great valueGreat All-around Pant

These are my favorite travel pants. The legs zip on when traveling by air, legs are zipped off on arrival to warm destinations, and zipped back on for evening activities. All this with one pair of pants. They are versatile, comfortable, tough, and good looking. Since I travel light, I like it that I can travel with less pairs of pants/shorts. They also don't require a belt. I own two pair in different colors for more options. I highly recommend these pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Lasts forever, PerformanceHusband actually liked them!

I purchased 2 pair for my husband (Khaki/Charcoal). He wears a L33 or 34. He was looking for a pant with a longer short. The khaki fit him perfectly while the charcoal were too long. I am going to place a reorder to see which pair were made incorrectly. If they are still a bad fit I will need to hem them. I will see when I receive them.
