Description

The affordable new Prism Snapshot 1.9 Kite fits radical aerial thrills in your pocket, your briefcase, or the glove box of your car. Exceptionally fast and hard-pulling for their size, even the 1.2 will keep you on your toes when the wind picks up. Unlike most parafoils, the Snapshot sports a tight, responsive turn response that feels like driving a finely tuned sports car as compared to a truck; it just feels good carving up the sky. Smaller than the foils you'd use for buggying or kiteboarding, these wings are the ideal intro to power kiting and dual-line control. They're great for learning the basics because there's nothing to break when you crash, but you'll bring yours everywhere once you get the hang of it because they're just so much fun. Carefully shaped inlets keep the wing from collapsing in gusty wind, a constant problem with lesser designs, and the elliptical planform with a new airfoil profile minimizes drag for awesome speed and acceleration. Complete with Spectra lines already attached, flight straps, winder, and tail, the Snapshot will make a wind junkie out of you on your first breezy day.

A blast!!!!
August 23, 2009

I was getting dragged around in front of my friends house on its first flight. We were all commenting that there was going to be a car accident from all the observers it was attracting. Very easy to fly after about 5 minutes of learning how it reacts. It is a handful in a strong wind. Fun! Fun! Fun! I would Highly recommend this kite.

this kite is very powerful for its size. i flew it on the beach in fairly heavy wids and was pulle all over the place. Its pull is siilar to that of walking a medium sized dog who is pulling at its leash. t kite packs down fail smal an sems to be well maybe. one bad noe is that the 300lbs spectra line broke on me in heavy winds but other then that thekite has preformed beautifully.

great kite!

I love this kite for several reasons: - it is very practical to take along as it has no long parts and packs up small, easily fitting into a beach bag! - flies great with fairly little wind - stunts are easy as it flies so steady! - made great friends with it ;-)

great kite, but string keeps breaking. MFG. should replace with heavier line, but not sure how to get it. fun when you get it up in the wind!

Best kite ever
December 26, 2011

I started of with the 1.4, Prism Snapshot. First time out it went straight up it was awesome. While I was still flying the 1.4 I decided I was going to order the 1.9 Prism Snapshot WOW what a kite. The power is strong. At 19 MPH you will have your hands full. Then for some unknown reason I ordered the 2.5. Snapshot. At 175 Lbs I don't think I will fly it in a big wind. I love these kites, they are strong, powerful, & durable. The 2 bigger kites are a full body workout. Flying a kite has never been so much fun.

So Much Fun For Everyone!
October 06, 2011

This is a great kites, but if you are over 12 you may really want the Prism Snapshot 2.5. The 2.5 is super fun and offers a good pull from the wind. Kite flying with friends and (or) family may just change your life. Great way to burn off stress, exercise, laughs and FUN!!! I don't alway think bigger is better but when it comes to kites "it is".

Pros: fun for younger ones, prism kites are the best, great company too!, Cons: there are none

Great fun!

This kite has alot of pull in good wind. I'm 5'9" 160lbs and in a 20mph wind it pulls me across the beach. Had problems with the 200lb line though, needed to get the 300lb line. 200lb kept breaking when I didn't think it should. Flys just ok in light wind, really needs the upper wind range. It's also pretty fast for a larger kite. I would highly recommend.

Couldn't Be Happier!
April 12, 2010

Kite came fully prepped and ready to fly (had it in the air within a few minutes). A tad unwieldy in ground-level light wind, but once it hits the twenty (20)-foot level, the soar and pull are amazing! Took a few days to gauge the maneuverability (VERY quick turns!), but that's the fun in learning. BUY IT; you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic fun, Easy to use. Good pull.

Great fun in an open field. Even more so with snow and something slippery strapped under you. Only complaint is now I want a bigger one with more pull. Not at all sorry I got this one though. Great place to start getting to know the breeze.
