Description

The affordable new Prism Snapshot 2.5 Kite fits radical aerial thrills in your pocket, your briefcase, or the glove box of your car. Exceptionally fast and hard-pulling for their size, it will keep you on your toes when the wind picks up. Unlike most parafoils, the Snapshot sports a tight, responsive turn response that feels like driving a finely tuned sports car as compared to a truck; it just feels good carving up the sky. Smaller than the foils you'd use for buggying or kiteboarding, this wing is the ideal intro to power kiting and dual-line control. It's great for learning the basics because there's nothing to break when you crash, but you'll bring yours everywhere once you get the hang of it because its just so much fun. Carefully shaped inlets keep the wing from collapsing in gusty wind, a constant problem with lesser designs, and the elliptical planform with a new airfoil profile minimizes drag for awesome speed and acceleration. Complete with Spectra lines already attached, flight straps, winder, and tail, the Snapshot will make a wind junkie out of you on your first breezy day. Fly Safe! Power kites can easily pull you off your feet in a breeze and the larger sizes could cause serious injury if mishandled. Flying safely is your responsibility, so use common sense when you fly and read all instruction manuals carefully before your first flight. Do not fly near power lines, roads, vehicles, other people, or storms. If you're a beginner, be sure you can safely control your kite in light winds before attempting to fly in stronger winds. Ordered this kite for my boyfriend for the beach. He was so excited! He had been shopping around for one and couldn't find one as nice as this one.

Excellent Fun for Everyone

This is great fun, exercise, group fun, family fun, entertainment and a very feel good thing! I enjoy this so much I now have about 12 kites for get togethers with friends and family. Immagine going tothe park with a group and riding the wind, Wow it's a blast!

The funnest workout ever!!!

There's nothing like a windy day at the beach when my Snapshot 2.5 is involved. Last time the windspeed was around 15 mph. Wow, what a workout. I weigh around 155 lbs. I had to laugh when I was done and saw the ~40 yard trench dug into the beach from me being drug down the beach on my feet, knees, belly, butt, back, you name it. Just to get up again and work my way back up the beach for another go 'round. It's easily the funnest workout you'll ever have, and will work every muscle. See if you can manage to hold up for 2 hours in 15 mph winds.

Is bigger better?

Flew the new kite this weekend in a very light wind on the beach and had a great time! Despite the soso wind it did not collapse once. This big kite is an absolute crowd-pleaser, and I had to give several tutorials to jung (and old) boys. I LOVE the padded straps! They are super comfy and I am looking forward to some stronger winds without the fatigue in my hands (I am a woman) that I get from the thin straps of the Prism Snapshot 1.9. Overall the size of your kite really depends on the wind and your own strength. I don't necessarily think bigger is better, but in a light wind the 2.5 sure is great fun.

Pros: great comfortable straps!, Cons: don't like the color much
