This kite flies easily in a 2 mph wind, will pull you from about 8 mph, and really cranks with 12 mph or more. The Tensor helps teach you power kiting with a dual-line control bar, safety leash and quick release. When you’re ready for more control, the convertible bar system transforms into quad-line handles, giving you the maneuverability you’ll need for buggying, snow kiting and landboarding. Safety comes first so Prism has designed this kite with multiple safety systems that let you kill all power on the kite instantly just by letting go of the bar or handles. Built to paraglider standards, the silicone coated nylon wings are easy to maintain and keep your kite sand and snag-free. All lines are color-coded, precision-measured, pre-attached and ready to go right out of the included backpack/duffel bag.
