Description

The big jammer of the Tensor series, the Prism Tensor 5.0 is the biggest of the three Tensor power kites. Head out on the snow or in lighter winds when smaller kites just can't get the pull you need. The Tensor 5.0 will fly easily in 2mph, start to drag you in 8mph and really pull hard in 12+, great for larger pilots, light wind areas, and kiting on soft snow where extra power is required. The Prism Tensor 5.0 Kite is a great option to develop and grow in kiting, the 5.0 should be flown with respect and consideration since it can really provide some power if the wind picks up. All Tenor sizes make it simple and safe to get into power kiting with a dual-line control bar, safety leash and quick release, all set up and ready to fly.

Amazing kite, just not for me
February 05, 2011

Man, this kite can pull! Get ready to get dragged around for a while, even in light winds. The greatest part when you get it is that it's all set up to go, you literally just take it out of the bag, unwrap it, and presto! I fell in love with this kite; the design makes it very easy to launch, even when you crash it upside down. All of the parts and such of the kite are very high quality. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because this kite just wasn't for me: it was way too big for me to handle (I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs). Also, the price really made me think twice about keeping it. My plan is to return it and go for one of the smaller versions. However, if you think you're big enough for this baby, then I'd definitely recommend it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
