Awesome Wakeboard Helmet
MY EXPERIENCE:
- 2nd season Wakeboarder
- I also own the Protec Wake Paddle helmet (large)
SIZING:
I'm a 6'-0" athletic 180-lb male with a 22.75-inch circumference head. The "large" size fits me well.
My g/f is a 5'-1" athletic 115-lb female with a 21.375-inch circumference head. The "small" size fits her well.
FEATURES:
- Wearing it backwards or forwards is a neat gimmick but you'll likely decide on the first day which way you prefer & stick with it.
- For wakeboarders, ear protection is highly advisable to help prevent Surfer's Ear, ear drum rupture, and (as a bonus) ear sunburn.
- I really like the "press fit" style of this helmet which is achieved by the rear elastic strap that slings around the back of your head (easily reverses direction whether you wear the helmet "backwards" or "forwards" - see pics). It is really comfy and provides a much better fit than my Wake Paddle Helmet with those adjustable inner-wire settings.
- Standard Pro-Tec chin strap. They do a nice job of allowing the user to adjust where under the chin the strap sits. I hardly notice it (which is a good thing).
COLOR/APPEARANCE:
- It's not specified in the description but the white color is gloss (i.e. not matte) and looks awesome (though I wish this helmet was available in blue &/or yellow)
- The white color is a perfect for some black waterproof vinyl decals (stickers) to customize your battered headgear!
- Unlike some of the other Protec Helmets, the Protec logo stickers are beneath the gloss layer and as such cannot be peeled off. The large spade on the non-rim side is a bit ugly (sticker over it!)
VALUE:
I cannot comment on its life since I've only had it a short while. If it holds up like other Pro-Tec helmets I've seen then it's definitely worth the money.
SUMMARY:
I have no cons. It's d@mn near perfection so it's my favorite & I grab it every time.

Excellent comfort
This helmet is comfortable, easy to put on in a hurry on top of a rapid, and it is cool looking. My teenage son also loves his, for the comfort and looks. The adjustability is also great for that perfect fit, no matter if you have on a beanie or a bandana or are sporting a pony tail.

Great Looking Helmet!
I have a protec snowboarding helmet but I wanted one that wasn't white and didn't have ear muffs for snow so as to use it for 3 season biking or canoeing/kyaking. Great looking shape and fit, I like the subdued matte camo. From a distance it looks black but within about 5 feet you can tell its matte dark woodland camo. Try it out!

Excellent kayak surf helmet
I bought this for kayak surfing. It's comfortable, lightweight, well ventilated and easy to adjust. It fits securely so you don't have to think about it when things get dicey. Bonus... nice styling so you won't look like a tool.

Cool Helmet!
I just purchased this helmet as I couldn't find a good fit in the regular style helmet. Super comfortable, stays far cooler than your standard protec and is comfortable even when worn all day. Excellent value for the money.

Great Helmet For Paddling
I just bought this helmet for white water kayaking. It's very comfortable and I forget I even have it on until my head hits a rock and it doesn't hurt. It looks kind of dorky with the rim backward, but still works the same. Solid helmet. Pro-Tec knows what's up.

Pro-Tec Helmet
This helmet fits great and is very comfortable. So far it has held up well and I expect it to last for a long time. The only draw back is that it does get hot to touch in direct sunlight, however, the inside does not seem to get quite as hot. Definitely a great buy for the price.

Great Helmet
This is my first kayak helmet so I didn't know what to expect. This is nice light gear, a snug comfortable fit, and didn't even feel it after a couple of minutes.

At last, my search for a helmet is over.
I got the Pro-Tec TwoFace for both kayaking and rock climbing and it works great for both. I know it's not a climbing specific helmet but it is light, compact, and fits great. I ordered the Carbon version and was surprised that the dark color remained cool on the inside. The silver in the carbon pattern must be reflective plus the insulating properties of all that foam. I've wacked my head on a couple of rocks while wearing this helmet already and it does its job of protecting my noggin. I might just end up wearing this thing mountain biking too!

Great Kayaking Helmet
This helmet is extremely comfortable. Not only is it comfortable, but it is also very lightweight and offers pretty good ventilation - which is truly important when you are out kayaking in 95 degree temperatures.

Very pleased with product.
My son absolutely loves the Two Face Helmet. He had purchased a different helmet locally and lost it during a medical emergency on the water. When looking for a replacement he chose the Two Face Helmet . . . he is "thrilled" with it and says it is so much nicer than the one he had. He further stated that it is lighter which makes it so much more comfortable and it offers much more protection to his head than his previous helmet purchased locally.

good value
This is a nice helmet for the price. It takes a bit to switch it from facing forward to backwards, but it can be done. There was a lot of padding included so once you got the fit dialed in, it felt like a dream.

Overall Very Satisfied
Good quality, good fit, the reversible wear is nice. It would have been nice to have some additional padding included to fine tune the fit. However, overall, I would definitely recommend it to a friend....
