Unlike the Burton Red Hi Fi Helmet and the Shaun White Hi Fi Helmet, the Burton Red Audio Hi Fi Helmet comes complete with speaker earpads, volume control, mute switch and a headphone jack. All you do is plug into your existing MP3 or personal music player and you're ready to jam. Unlike those tiny tweeter earbuds that most riders barely find tolerable for anything other than listening to rodents sucking helium, the Burton Red Audio Hi Fi Helmet uses large 100 mW headphone speakers with enough air mass between the speakers and your ears to generate proper bass and minimize wind interference. Hey this is one crazy helmet I won't lie. I don't own it but I did try it on in the store its really comfortable and the sound is great its a good thing I had my mp3 player in my pocket dude if you going to but a bucket get this one its worth the cost.

The "Audio" features on this helmet are poor. The headphones sit way too low on your noggin. The speakers are almost below my ears when the helmet is on properly. Not only that, but the audio quality of the speakers is poor as well. You're better off just wearing a regular set of headphones. I read reviews before I bought this helmet online, and I ignored the warnings about the low earphones thinking my head was probably big enough. I was wrong. They are definately too low. I'm sure the Hi-Fi is a good helmet and all, but thumbs down for the audio edition. I think I'll go with the Giro 9 with the "Tune-Ups". Don't waste your time, $, and effort on this product.

Warning this helmet stinks! I bought the helmet for 2 reasons, it was light as can be and it had speakers on it. What I found on this helmet was that the sound quality was horrible, the ear pieces were way to low, and when I had my googles on it pushed them straight into my nose. Warnng do not buy this product.

It's almost as if they never actually put this helmet on before shipping it. The ear pads/headphones hang way too low - the rim pad for the headphone is supposed to encircle the ear not bisect it. Everyone that tried on a properly sized helmet experienced the same fit problem. Unless you listen to music with your jaw, look elsewhere for an audio helmet.

A soft measuring tape is an excellent tool to determine the correct circumference of the user's head in centimeters and get a rough idea of what helmet size will fit them best. If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Do not use a metal tape as it will not give an accurate measurement.
1.) Have the user stand facing you while looking straight ahead. (Tip: when fitting small children it is helpful to kneel in front of them so you are at eye level.)
2.) Using both hands, hold the measuring tape at each end with the marks facing away from you.
3.) Place the fit tape behind the user's head just above the ears.
4.) Wrap the side in your right hand around to the front of their forehead so the end of the tape is centered between (and just above) the eyebrows.
5.) Wrap the side in your left hand around (just above the ears and brow) to overlap the end of the tape with a snug fit. Read the measurement at the end of the tape to determine circumference measurement.
6.) Remove measuring tape and record the measurement. This number can be used to narrow the helmet size selection using the helmet-sizing chart above.
