Redifining the word "classics". If the only thing that more than good tunes is better audio quality, the R.E.D. Hi-Fi Audio Helmet is where your head should be at this snowboarding season. It's compatible with every iPod, MP3 and CD player we could find and features ear-swallowing DJ-style headphones for better audio fidelity than cheap headphones covered in spongy padding. There are also plenty of extras like a one-touch mute and cord volume control, plus a crash release breakaway system that won't tangle with you during a fall. To balance out the weight of the headphones, the folks at R.E.D. paired their Hi-Fi Audio Helmet with their lightest lightweight in-mold polycarbonate shell. The shaved grams won't compromise the protection--this helmet is ASTM 2040 and CE 1077 certified and offers snowboard-oriented protection in back for extra coverage on those heelside turns that get away from you.
NOTE: If you measure between two size, chose the next larger size.

A soft measuring tape is an excellent tool to determine the correct circumference of the user's head in centimeters and get a rough idea of what helmet size will fit them best. If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Do not use a metal tape as it will not give an accurate measurement.
1.) Have the user stand facing you while looking straight ahead. (Tip: when fitting small children it is helpful to kneel in front of them so you are at eye level.)
2.) Using both hands, hold the measuring tape at each end with the marks facing away from you.
3.) Place the fit tape behind the user's head just above the ears.
4.) Wrap the side in your right hand around to the front of their forehead so the end of the tape is centered between (and just above) the eyebrows.
5.) Wrap the side in your left hand around (just above the ears and brow) to overlap the end of the tape with a snug fit. Read the measurement at the end of the tape to determine circumference measurement.
6.) Remove measuring tape and record the measurement. This number can be used to narrow the helmet size selection using the helmet-sizing chart above.
