Great protective shorts
April 29, 2012
If you ski or ride fast and hard, or even if you don't, trees, rocks and other obstacles abound. I've seen numerous people the past few years, including myself, have bruises and contusions on hips and thighs from hitting trees and rocks. These shorts are great: fit well so you forget they're on, but offer a LOT of protection. I was very happy I had them on when i clipped a rock on a pow day going 35 miles an hour and bounced off it on my hip. The one possible downside is they do act like another layer, so they can be a bit hot, but I don't see how they be any different. For me, that just means I don't need to wear long underewear unless it's really cold. I tend to get hot, for most people this would likely be no issue whatsoever, and for me, it's not a big one. Highly recommended: put 'em on and forget about 'em, while protecting your tushy.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of useDid you recently buy the Red by Burton Total Impact Shorts? Write a review.
