The next generation in fit, performance, and protection are combined in the R.E.D. Tantrum Helmet. Beautifully molded with full clima-control and removable goggle gasket. Comfort and safety rarely meet in such a stylish helmet.
fits nicely
Fits nice, comfortable, and very lightweight. I sometimes don't even realize I am wearing a helmet. Took a nasty fall this season and this probably save my noggin.
BUY IT!!!
Actually fits my head
Actually fit my head and does not pinch anywhere - easily adjustable and super light. It doesn't even feel like I am wearing a helmet.
Excellent fit and comfort, good value, great protection.
This helmet fit great and can easily be worn all day. The optional ventilation plugs customize airflow. Light as a feather with good padding and great protection (I tested it the fist day quite by accident). The google clip seemed under designed but worked fine. The Chin Strap padding is fixed in and offset position but hardly noticeable. Conservative styling, fit and comfort make this helmet a good buy.

Worked great for me
I never wore a helmet before yesterday, so I'm no expert, but the Tantrum was great. I didn't even know it was there for most of the day and we were going solid from 9:00-4:30. The chin strap was easy to engage/adjust and the chin strap padding being only on one side was not a problem. Not sure why it irritated other reviewers. True, the goggle clip could have a more fool-proof design, but it worked fine for me. Mostly, I was just impressed with the comfort. If I had to get another helmet, I'd by a tantrum in a heartbeat.
Decent
The goggle strap clip is very flimsy. Mine snapped off after less than 20 days of riding. Also, the helmet is much more bulky than other helmets, especially the new Giros. On the plus side, the ear pads are very warm, and the helmet is very comfortable. Great fit, too!
It's better then the tight Sky Cap!
I agree that the chin strap is beat and the goggle stap is weak (and it seams like it may break at any second). I also bought the headphone inserts, I do love them (although they do not click in right). But over all I love finally having music on the mountain.. It's like your very own theme.. I find it to be comfortable and warm and that is more then I can say for the Sky Cap, I had one of those for the past 6 seasons and my ears were always in pain by the end of my day. I hated it.. But this one is so comfy that it makes up for the poor design.. (And believe me, it was poorly designed)

A soft measuring tape is an excellent tool to determine the correct circumference of the user's head in centimeters and get a rough idea of what helmet size will fit them best. If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Do not use a metal tape as it will not give an accurate measurement.
1.) Have the user stand facing you while looking straight ahead. (Tip: when fitting small children it is helpful to kneel in front of them so you are at eye level.)
2.) Using both hands, hold the measuring tape at each end with the marks facing away from you.
3.) Place the fit tape behind the user's head just above the ears.
4.) Wrap the side in your right hand around to the front of their forehead so the end of the tape is centered between (and just above) the eyebrows.
5.) Wrap the side in your left hand around (just above the ears and brow) to overlap the end of the tape with a snug fit. Read the measurement at the end of the tape to determine circumference measurement.
6.) Remove measuring tape and record the measurement. This number can be used to narrow the helmet size selection using the helmet-sizing chart above.
