Going big takes on new meaning and new performance ramifications with Rossignol's optimized Scratch Mogul ski. Designed for what Rossignol calls "elite competitive mogul athletes and junior bump skiers," the Scratch Mogul Ski is probably the most specialized performance ski that we'll carry this season. Made with Rossignol's World Cup Structure and World Cup laminates, the Scratch Mogul ski puts all the potential of a pro ski in the hands of everyday mogul enthusiasts. If you do the bumps most of the day (and you usually do it better than anyone else) the Scratch Mogul Ski will treat you far better than any conventional ski design. Unlike other skis in the Rossignol Scratch series, the Scratch Mogul Ski has a rounded nose and a square tail to accentuate easy turning through the bumps. Rossignol came up with a new THC2 hybrid core that uses three distinct components for optimal agility and control: The poplar wood minimizes the overall structural weight while fume wood improves the responsiveness and ski-to-snow feel, but the MICROCELL structure helps minimize shocks and vibrations as you pummel the hardpack. Most Scratch skis have 30-degree slanting sidewalls, but the Mogul features a vertical sidewall to enhance edging through the bumps.
