Rossignol Women's Scratch Girl BC Skis (no bindings) (Fall 07):
It's like the guy's Scratch from Rossignol, but the binding position is forward for better turning and that's all about you. This season Rossignol didn't tweak much on the Scratch Girl BC, keeping all the great stuff that made it one of the award-winning pro models last season. Unlike the boy toys, the Scratch Girl BC has a special W Flex that changes the ski flex to a softer feel as you move down to shorter sizes. Rossignol reinforced the ski with a Rossitop cap that makes the top surface more resistant to the sorts of moves that usually chip other ski decks. If you like to go big but you can't stand the awkward fit and clunky feel of backcountry freestyle skis made for guys, the Scratch Girl BC will treat you like a queen--or an ice princess if that's more your style. This one doesn't come with bindings, but if you're going to create a perfect pairing, we recommend the Axial2 Pro Bindings with wide ski brakes. We even sell those on this site. Really.
