I've tried many different kinds of hiking-style shorts over the years, but the minute I tried out the Billy Goat Nylon shorts I could tell that these were in a different league. Let's get right down to it. The big advantage these shorts have over typical cotton shorts is how well they breathe. I find that I'm much cooler, drier, and more comfortable in all kinds of conditions with these shorts, so much so that my older shorts don't get much use anymore. The nylon fabric used is a little harsher to the touch than cotton, so there is that, but that's a very small price to pay for the comfort of staying cool and dry. For what it's worth, I recently found a pair of "Greg Norman" brand shorts that seemed to have similarly breathable fabric. However, from the moment I put them on, the fabric made obnoxious swishing sounds with every motion - these Billy Goat Nylon shorts do not have that problem at all.

Great shorts

Comfortable and at a great price. I would definitely buy these shorts again. I have worn them for golfing, working in the yard and woodworking and they are among the most comfortable shorts I own.

Billy Goat Nylon Shorts

These shorts are really comfortable and stylish. I have had Billy Goat canvas shorts in the past and liked them a lot, so I thought I would try the nylon version. I like them even better. They have the added benefit of being light weight and shed wrinkles. They always look great, even right out of the wash. The only criticism I have of them is that the pockets aren't as deep as in the canvas version. I like deep pockets to keep my keys etc. from falling out when I sit down, and while these do a decent job, it would be nice if they were a bit deeper.

Nice shorts

These are very well made shorts. I wear shorts every day to work and these will last for awhile. I especially like the material and it is soft. The workmanship is good.
