I love these shorts. The multiple pockets, including a zippered security pocket, are perfect. The shorts are super-light but durable, very cool and comfortable. The only negative is the cut of the legs makes them swish a bit between the thighs when walking.

I love these shorts. I have every color and they're the only short and style that I wear. They're comfortable, wear well. fit great, and look kind of sporty which is what I like. They have an outdoors , atheltic type of a person look to them and that's what I'm like. Not the run of the mill short. Love the pockets. Especially the ones in the back..They're the only shorts I wear. I'm glad they come in several different colors. They're the greatest.

I recently purchased a pair of Royal Robbins Backcountry Shorts for my wife. She absolutely loves them. She has requested that I purchase another pair in a different color. They are lightweight, comfortable, versitile, quick drying and very well crafted. All this and the security pocket make them a great summer travel short.

I love these shorts. They are lightweight and travel well. Perfect for hiking and DisneyWorld. I love all of the pockets and the zipper pocket is perfect for holding a credit card, ticket, and a fast pass or two. They wash well and air-dry quickly. They fit nicely, but if you are between sizes and plan to use the pockets, go for the bigger size. Mine were a little snug with my phone in the pocket (I wear size 2-4 and my shorts are a 2).

I love these shorts and have nearly every color. They travel well, they always look great, they wash out and dry quickly, and they are super-comfortable. I am 5'5" and roughly 125 lbs. These shorts fit curves. Like many females, my waist is smaller than my backside. Typically, I find clothes that fit one or the other. These shorts adjust at the waist and fit well through hips and thighs--no gaps. The pocket detailing works at an angle and creates a slimming effect. Wear these shorts to be active, runs errands or relax. Expect plenty of compliments!

Even in the hot sun of Arizona, these shorts never felt sticky or clammy on intense hikes. Lots of pockets to store items w/o fear of them falling out. Great value for the price, too.

These shorts are really fantastic! They are comfortable, stylish, lightweight, and practical. They have tons of pockets for carrying stuff. They are quite versatile: I've shopped downtown, watched baseball games, and hiked to Hawaiian waterfalls in them. They dry quickly. The fabric doesn't rip, tear, or pill. I already have many pairs in different colors and I'm ordering more today! This short is the only one I've worn for 3 years now. After lots of wearing and washing, each pair still looks and feels brand new. I'm hard to fit for shorts and pants because of a long distance from waist to crotch, but these shorts do the trick!

I have been wearing these shorts for the last 6 years! They fit, feel, hang, dry, wick and are the most durable pant or short I have ever seen! I own 8 pairs of these. Apparently I cannot get enough of them & hope they will not stop making them!!

I saw the Backcountry shorts at a local sporting goods store and loved the way they looked and felt on. Unfortunately they did not have my size in the color that I wanted so I went online and found them at Altrec. I was so excited that I found what I wanted that I ordered 3 pair in different colors and I wear them on the time. Every time I wear them I get compliments and comments on how great they look. They were shipped and I received them just like they said I would!

Like my Horizon Utility shorts, I needed to buy a size smaller then I normally wear. But I absolutely love these shorts and the way they fit. There's no gap in the back of the waist, and the length is perfect for me.

I found these shorts a few years back at a local Sporting Goods shop & they are the best for camping and around water. They are lightweight & dry quickly. I buy them every year, only because I've been losing weight. The ones from last year still look new, (even after a lot of use), but were too big to wear this year. I found these were the best price online. The fit and length are also quite flattering, which is a big plus!

These are my favorite day and hiking shorts by far. Have been wearing them for years. I especially love them for hiking the AZ mountains because of their lightweight but rugged fabric. The nylon allows me to slide on the rocks. Also the length of the shorts (mid to high thigh) gives my legs freedom to move. Lots of deep pockets but since the shorts seem to run tight for the size, i cant stuff too many things inside. If i do, the shorts buldge and tend to ride up in the inside thigh. Another reason i really like these shorts is that they are more slimming than other most shorts for curvy women. I wear siz 12-14, for instance. The fabric and cut of the pockets help in this area. I hate paying so much for shorts but the shorts are so great that i find the cost worth the investment.

I love these shorts! Very comfortable and the quality is obvious. In my opinion they tend to run a bit small. I wish they had my size in more colors. I wore these to a amusement/water park and they kept me cool but also dried very quickly. Great purchase!

Perfect length, flattering fit

I love these shorts! I have three pairs and may order a fourth color. They are well made, very light-weight, come out of the wash beautifully, and air dry quickly. (I haven't put them in the dryer but I'm sure you could.) They are perfect for being active (read sweaty) outdoors in hot weather and will be great for for traveling. I really dislike pockets with flaps and buttons, so I love the angled pockets with velcro and zip closures. I'm a 49 year old grandmother, 5'4", size 6. Most shorts are too long and look ridiculous on me, as do really short shorts or ones that are low slung on the hips. These are perfect.
