These collars are great! My two dogs are not often on a leash but I always want to make sure that they have a collar with their tags on them. This lays nicely in their thicker fur so they look good, not bulky like regular collars. My dogs are around 60 lbs each and I had to return the medium for the large.

Great collar just too skinny
I love everything about this except for the diameter. Its just too skinny. My dogs dont yank on the leash but I thought it was too delicate or petite for a sporty dog. PLEASE make a thicker version and all of my dogs will be wearing these. great material. love the black.

Nice Collar
You get what you see on the site and cant beat the shipping. This is a nice collar. I have a shepard-chow mix and the collar sits in his fur just how I wanted it to. If you dont like how the thicker collars make your dogs coat look, this is the collar for you.

Can't keep adjusted.
Not pretending my dog doesn't pull when i walk her, but i couldn't get this collar to stay put. I own other Ruffwear collars and LOVE the fit and how long they last. This one, just didn't do it for me, so was donated to a friend.
Love the idea of a thicker collar for long hair breeds, but need to find one that stays where i set it.

Love this collar
My dog has skin allergies and gets a rash from her other collars but this one is very soft and doesn't give her a rash. It is also very durable (so far) and very cute! The size ran a little small compared to the other collars we have for her so we had to exchange it for a size up. Other than that we love it!

Good collar for thick haired dogs
My dog has long thick fur with an undercoat. Flat collars tend to matt up the hair. This one doesn't seem to do that. The ring stays on the top too, so it's easy to find and clip the leash to.

Great, Great Product
I have two very strong husky's and this product works wonderful! Strong, durable and sharp looking as well. It has a somewhat elastic feel to which is good so it absorbs the shock of the tugging and pulling that my wild beast are capable of! I really haven't found cons about this product yet and truly don't believe I will. I would also recommend the knot a long collars as well!

Great collar however!
This is my second collar from Ruff Wear my eldest dog has one on too! Great look to the collar, lots of compliments from other dog owners, and the reflective threading is priceless on our zero dark thirty runs in the morning!!!! However we have an issue when this collar is used with a coupler to walk two dogs, when the other dog starts pulling sideways the collar over time gets loose.

Good, Comfortable collar
We liked this collar so much we purchased another one shortly after purchasing the first one. We even decided it would be a great Christmas gift for some of our doggie friends. The rope style and texture is definitely a must have for longer hair dogs, both big and small. Although it's a thin rope style it is strong enough and comfortable for use on our german shepherd while at home. We like the strong matching leash too!

Great collars
The rope collars, with the majority of the collar rounded like rope, fit better than traditionally flat collars. The collar almost seems to disappear into the scruff of our German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. A clever addition is the floating tag holder - no more annoying leash rattle.

Good not Great
This collar is marketed as being inspired by climbing rope however when the collar is adjusted to my dog's neck the round "rope" portion of the collar is less than half the total length. If you're between sizes definitely go for the larger collar. The quality is good however the Weinerlock™ buckle is about half the size of the Hoopie collar by Ruff Wear. The separate split ring for the ID tag is great because you can get rid of the extra split ring that is normally required and the dog's ID lays flat against their chest. This is a good collar, but it needs some fine tuning to be great.

Ruff Wear Knot-a-Just Dog Collar
I bought this collar for my 1 year old French Bulldog. The quality is impressive and looks to be well made. It also had a reflective material which makes it easy to see my dog at night. I will be buying the leash and other Ruff Wear products soon. Altrec had some real fast shipping as well. Great product and great site too.

Good looking collar
Love how the collar looks but wish it was rounded throughout. Perhaps Ruff Wear could make them in more specific sizes/ lengths so that less of the flat adjustment bit is needed.

Not what I expected from Ruff-Wear
I bought this collar with the matching leash, and was generally pleased with the leash. The collar, however, is a different story. PROS: I stil like using climbing rope to make dog collars and leashes. This collar seems to be well-made, and doesn't ruin the fur around the dog's neck where the collar is round. CONS: The biggest complaint I have about this collar is that the adjustments do not hold. I have a very large and strong Bernese Mountain dog that was able to pull the adjustment loose several times and get the collar over his head. Not good! The diameter of the rope used on this collar, even thought it is an XL size is tiny for such a large dog. You cannot even tell he is wearing a collar. The whole collar is not rounded (for adjustments and buckle) which defeats the purpose of using a rounded collar. And as with the matching leash, the red currant color is more of a faded, subdued red and not a bright red. SUMMARY: I would not recommend this collar for any dog simply for the adjustments hot holding when the dog pulls. RECOMMENDATION: Using a larger diameter climbing rope, make a simple choke-type collar that can be rounded completely.

Love it!
The knot-a-collar fits perfectly on our Red and White Irish Setters. The rope style fabric is awesome for long hair dogs and the reflective trim is great for late night walks! (especially when used with the knot-a-leach). The style also reflects our lifestyle; very active!!!

built to last
i just ordered three ruff wear collars and leashes for my three labs. time will tell if they're worth it, but i like the way they are made and they look sporty on my dogs.

A good collar
I bought this collar to replace my dogs old traditional collar. You should have seen his tail wag when I put this one on him! He's clearly more comfortable and looks great. The collar is soft around his neck and secure. Thumbs up!

Great Collar
Well made AND stylish. Having both rings on the collar is much more secure, no longer accidentally connecting the leash to the dogs tag ring. On my Norwegian Elkhound the obsidian black looks great.

Awesome dog collar!
We got this collar for our cute puppy copper! We LOVE It, and so does she! She loves how it feels around her neck because she has long hair and thats what it is designed for! Can't wait to get the next size up! :)
