It's a great harness.
This is the best harness I've ever used. I have an Italian Greyhound. They are very hard to fit. My dog does not like harnesses to begin with and scratches them on every walk. He doesn't do that with this one. The adjustable fit is perfect. Plus, we had a close encounter with a dog he doesn't like. I just picked him up by the handle. Problem solved for both dogs...and owners.

It's a great harness.

Web Master Harness is GREAT!
I have a golden retriever that is an amputee on one of the back legs. Arthritis is settling in on the one remaining back leg now. I was breaking my back helping her around, I would put a towel under her belly and use it to lift her. The web master harness has a sturdy handle on the back, and the straps are cushioned and comfortable for her. This was a life saver!! 5 stars!

Buying another one today!
We are avid walk/hike/campers and wanted something comfortable for our Great Dane to wear instead of a leash and collar set-up. Saw this harness in a little store, decided to try it out - it's been the best thing we've bought for him! He stands tall enough that we just hang on to the "handle" and he walks with comfort and ease! We are purchasing another one today for our 5 month old Dane. I would totally recommend this product to anyone!

A Great Harness!
I got this harness to help lift my lab with a bad leg in and out of the truck. Works great! It is comfortable for him to walk in when he is on leash. Also, the handle on the back helps keep him in line at the vet's office. I ordered a second one for the second lab. The red color also serves as a safety vest.

great, but runs big
My 40lb chow mix wore the small. It is adjustable, so I would recommend going with a size smaller than the guidelines suggest. It is great for 3legged dogs because it gives them extra support and the handle is great for helping him into the car!

Great Find!
We have an older Corgi, overweight as well, and we are older owners who are have become unable to lift the Corgi into the vehicle to go to the parks. The webmaster harness works wonderfully in lifting without injuring our beloved companion. Also ordered one for our Husky who often aids me in pulling my wheelchair up challenging inclines on trail. The webharnesses are a Godsend.

This product gave our dog new life!
Our Shepard-mix, Yoda, is the kind of dog with so much love for playing he wouldn't stop, you would have to stop him. Our family owns a twenty acre nursery, and he became a favorite with our customers and their children especially. Unfortunately, the years caught up to his body, but not his mind or desire, and his hind legs were suffering. We used to have to pick him up any sized flight of stairs, and you could see the pain and frustration taking a toll on his spirit. After only a few weeks, Yoda became accustomed to the "suitcase" as we call it, Now, knowing he can navigate stairs without pain, he is more energetic than he has been in more than two years. Great for large, deep chested breeds
I have two German Shepherd Dogs - both wearing this harness. We do extensive hiking and this has been a blessing! No other lightweight harness is as adjustable or fits them as well. The handle on the back and 2 connection points for a lead come in handy all the time! I have also used this for tracking and my dogs are far more comfortable in it. I think all dogs should have one!

Best harness you can find!!
We have a 95 pound lab and this product is great when we use it to go sailing. Since there is no latter for him to get up on when he goes swimming we can now easily pick him up with the harness and back on to the boat with ease. Highly recommended.

Great help for our 14 year old Sheltie
"Prince" was having considerable difficulty climbing just two steps from the ground to our patio and one step into the house. We honestly believe the harness has given him support since we do not have to use the strap to life him up. He even gets up from a lying position better. We leave the harness on and just as another purchaser wrote, he doesn't even seem to know it's there.

Dignified assistance for older dog.
Like an earlier reviewer, I too have an 11-year-old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog with a degenerative back problem. I've tried several adaptive devices to help me help him move around, but they were awkward, uncomfortable and inconvenient. This lets me help him with dignity. I chose black so it would blend in with his primary color, and he wears it almost all the time. It's far superior to any other slings and harness contraptions we've tried.

We have an 11 year old Greater Swiss Mountain dog with severe arthritis. This harness enables us to help her into a standing position without placing undo strain on her body or our backs. She doesn't even seem to know she's wearing it, so we leave it on her all the time. We couldn't recommend a product more highly.

It's great!!

Awesome for old dogs
We bought this for our 14 year old lab to go on a float trip with us. We wanted to be able to just lift her in and out of the boat, and be able to grab and contain her. It was wonderful, no jumping and jerking. She may have been humiliated, but at least her spine was fine the whole trip. Chiropractic visit afterwards, she was better off than the younger dog! Highly recommended.

Our Irish Setter, Bailey suffered a stroke and it was very difficult for my me and my wife to move him. The vest allowed my wife to get Bailey in and out of the house when I wasn't home to lift him. Love It!!
My mini dachshund, who is only 7.5 lbs needed a tracking harness (ordered the xxs and it fit her perfectly)....not an easy task. Love this harness because she can NOT walk out of it. Anyone who has a long thin dog with short legs understands the complex task of finding a proper fit. She doesn't mind it at all...the material fits small dogs, not just in width but weight...many items originally created for large dogs are just made smaller...that does not work for truly small dogs...everything needs to be smaller and lighter, especially the hardware...this harness answers all the small dog requirements. I have been training small dogs for years and can not even begin to count the number of times I have to doctor items to truly fit my small dogs... Thanks for a job well done. BTW, love the look, as it is not so "sweet" looking....I want her to look professional NOT cute.

Excellent Product - Happy Dog
I purchased my harness for my 3 1/2 year old Scotty. I have tried others and I disliked them all, poor Mack hated them. The fit on my the Web master is excellent. This is the first harness Mack doesn't mind wearing. I love the felt padding and you can even add foam in between if you choose, " that was in case thought when I received it ", but haven't had to add anything. Mack likes it, so I LOVE it. I think he looks so cute in it and the quality is great. It's also the first harness that he has been able to relieve himself in, good fit. Mack's Happy. :-) Thank you.

This is the only harness that I have found (and believe me- I've bought them all) that my escape artist pug cannot get out of. It's made extremely well and well worth the money considering the fact that without it, my pug would run out in front of any car coming. I have purchased 2 of these one for my Sheltie (small size) and one for my Papillon(XXS). We wanted a harness with a handle and padded straps for lifting the dogs to and from our boat. They are made very well. While on our walks we get numerous comments on how nice our babies look in them. I would say they seem to run a little large.

Fantastic

I have a 17 lb. poodle and all the other hardness I brought her caused sores from the plastic thread or the buckles. But this one is smooth all over and she just loves it. Not only is it comfortable but also keep her safe from other dogs. A dog tried to bite my dog and it teeth never reached her skin, this hardness protected her. Best Ever Small Dog Harness
This is the best harness I've used so far for my Affenpinscher, Leo, who is a small dog in the toy breed category. This harness keeps him secure and allows me to be in control when we are walking. He easily pulls out of all the other harnesses that I've purchased, even when on the tightest setting, and because I am concerned with trying to keep him from pulling out of the harness, I have no control at all. I plan on buying another Ruff Wear harnesses and will never use any other.

Great harness for Bloodhounds.
Just received my harness and had to try it out on my bloodhound I was surprised and thank God for it, she can slip a collar real guick and begone. I was desperate for a dog harness that would keep my golden lab mix on his run. I found this web site and was truly pleased with my purchase. I will be replacing it with the next size smaller because he was able to get out of this one only once and that is because I did not have it tight enough. Great for Wiggle Worms!
I love the web master dog harness. I have two very active tiny Yorkshire Terriers. The biggest one (no more than 7 lbs) has found a way to escape every collar/harness I've ever tried except for this one. The placement of the O-ring and the handle on the back make it very easy to pick the little ones up when danger (i.e., other big dogs) get too close! I feel much more comfortable walking my dogs in a neighborhood with other dogs around now that they have their new harnesses. I would certainly recommend this harness to other small dog owners.

We have two Vizslas and they are high strung. The Ruff Wear harness makes it so easy to take them for walks and to let them go on our wilderness property. I just wish a Beacon flashing safety light came with each one. It would make it so much easer to see our dogs a night.

Great For My Bloodhound!
I am so happy with this harness it is strong enough for my 90 lb bloodhound and easy to put on. This harness is giving us a chance to go on more walks and rides in the car. I feel secure in that she will not slip out and run away. My hound is a family pet and has typically not liked to go to many spots besides outside, the food bowl, a quick stretch or four and then back to her favorite spot, the couch. This harness is great and gets us moving again. Highly recommended!

Excellent Product
I bought one 2 years ago for my German Shorthair Pointer. I loved it. When I adopted my English Springer Spaniel, I ordered one for him too. The new harness is a little different than the one I bought a couple years ago. Still very good construction, very easy to get on a dog that doesn't stand still for a minute, and get the leash hooked. This product is great, as long as I have a dog, they will have a Web Master Harness. Just wish I could have gotten a blue one!

A great fitting harness
We've tried a number of different harnesses and this one is by far the best. It fits great, is lightweight and durable. We've used it three or four times a day for about three months and it still looks new. The built-in handle is our favorite feature -- we use it help our 15 year old dog up and down the stairs.

My problem is solved!
One reason I love this harness is because I have tried several harnesses for my small 17 lb dog and he has managed to escape all of them by backing out of them. He has short slick fur and slips right out of them. This is the only harness that has worked for me. It doesn't choke him either. Another reason I love it is because one day I was walking him and another big dog tried to bite him and I was able to quickly lift him up to safety by the handle on the top of the harness. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A perfect restraint and all around harness.
The only harness I have found to adjust properly to my Doberman. Web Master is a great fit with extreeme adjustability and allows a full range of motion. The best solution for a hard to fit escape artist that has destroyed numerous other restraints, collars and harnesses.

Well Color me surprised! In this day and age of fast paced living, one small person does not really expect that her feedback is noticed -among thousands of others! MY slight dissatisfaction with part of the product got swift response from the company! I thank you very much for your offer to refund my money for the harnesess even though they are used and modified -, and I would send them back except for the MOST part - I really like the design - and I REALLY need them right now while we are on the boat - I have made adjustments to fit - thank dog for a sewing machine LOL, So really, the thing I would be glad to see addressed some day is those few changes I suggested for BIG dogs, over 150 pound size dogs- with the same style harness - they are nicely seen through woods, even tho I cant see the dogs themselves - we have become appreciative of that- seeing as its bear country and BEAR SEASON - Thank you for your very gracious offer - it means everything that you care that even ONE person is unsatisfied - I will continue to purchase and recommend your site and products gladly to others - Keeping these harnesses now, has more meaning than it did before when ordering from a faceless machine - This a second feedback about the same product I have made, but I think its important for anyone who checks your site , that they know you guys are "out there Listening".... Highly recommend
We purchased a harness from Petco (Aspen brand) for our Alaskan Malamute puppy (16 weeks, 45 lbs), and it lasted all of two weeks. The clips are plastic and they simply snapped - quite dangerous. We did some research and purchased this one after finding out it was used for rescue work and to lift dogs out of helicopters. I highly recommend this item. It is nicely padded, very durable and I'm not sure what material the clasps are made of but they are STRONG! worked in a pinch to rappell down a 100' face
I have a sar dog.. took her to the crag, and we had to rappel down a 100' face. I am getting another harness, as I feel that this one doesn't offer enough spine support, and I'm not sure it's meant to be load bearing (the clips are plastic).

lightweight
my dog had a front leg amputation and i was looking for something lightweight and not restrictive- this works fine except that it shifts easily-possibly because she only has one front leg. she is a short hair dog too and so to accommodate that problem i bought some nice textured fabric that i put underneath the harness - kind of like a saddle blanket and then it's fine. i like how easy and how much you can adjust it.

Great
I bought the XS for my Chihuahua/cavalier mix. It's the only harness I've found that doesn't choke his neck and he can't Houdini out of it. It also doesn't rub on his sensitive underbelly like other harnesses we've tried.

Good fit
Overall i was pleased with the harness and would consider ordering from this company again. My only complaint was that the loop sewn into the back of the harness was not sewn in on one side and when tugged the first time it came out, making this useless for transport. I did not return it though because I had rushed the order so as to have it when we went camping that weekend. I was very pleased with the way it distributed the pull on the puppy, even when he was being "walked" by the six year old.

Great aid! Size Large is NOT big enough for truly large dogs
We have a huge Alaskan Malamute (150 Lbs) who suddenly lost mobility in all 4 limbs due to a disk compression on his spinal cord. Thanks to his incredible neurosurgeon and the Ruff Wear Harness, our boy is starting to stand and walk again after 2 1/2 long months of paralysis. Given our dog's size it was nearly impossible for my husband and I to lift him and try to get him to stand up as part of his rehabilitation. We tried EZ lifts which were anything but ez. The clasp broke on these, and the slippery nylon material was impossible to keep in place when trying to lift the dog up from both the front and back end. Worst of all it was very uncomfortable for our dog, which may have impacted his progress. The dog harness was a life saver! The design is a good one however, falls short for the larger dogs. My husband had to modify the Large sized harness by adding an extension and an extra handle to provide additional support for the back end. The combination has worked beautifully. In only a few days of wearing his harness, our dog started to stand and take a few wobbly steps...and that was with me holding him up by myself! Having front and rear handles literally took pounds off my dog. He wears it 24/7. With a few modifications, this product will be more suitable for the larger sized dogs and adding a second handle for rear support, will be ideal for helping to assist pets that lose mobility in all 4 limbs. I have recommended this product to our dog's neurosurgeon and Physical Therapist and I will be ordering a 2nd one for our dog to wear while I wash his other one. Please let us know if a new and improved larger harness becomes available.

Good for small breeds and daily walkers only
The harness does not provide good structure to the chest and ribs and as such can allow pressure points from lifting. There is no D-Ring for emergency lifts or stout leads. While this company makes an excellent pack, the harness is far from "rough ware"

Not as durable as we hoped
We picked up two of these for our boxers - we liked the control offered by the handle in the middle of the back and the fact that they looked mroe comfortable. Because we run with the dogs 4-5 times a week we were really looking forward to these. Unfortunately they do not hold up very well, both harnesses snapped at the chest junction, and slid off our dogs. Both are now in the garbage, having lasted about 4 months. The issue seemed to be the fact that part of the harness was made from what appeared to be spandex nylon - not the most durable material in the world, especially for an active dog. I wouldn;t buy these again I'm afraid. Much happier with the coats and boots from the same manufacturer.

Not what I expected
I had recieved the 2 harneses, size large, one is red, made of some kind of rubber & nylon and other is yellow ,made of canvase and nylon- the red one has no slider to catch the tails when you adjust the length of the harness straps. the yellow one does - they both have very thin straps, for around the chest and stomach - I was told these can be used for helocopter picks - and I dont see how - they are thin enough to make me worry that they will cut into the dog if lifted by it - I am not happy about that, as we live aboard a sail boat and the reason I bought the harness like this was to be able to lift the dogs from the ocean to the deck if needed - I have NEWFOUNDLANDS in excess of 140 pounds each - these harneses barely fit them! I think the advertisement should state that its not really suitable for BIG dogs - that will be lifted by their harness - If I had a choice, I would return them for refund - sadly we had to use them for our trip of 200 miles back to the mainland, as these were all the harness i had / I had to modify them to fit the large chest of our newfys -and so now they are used - I Like the design - just wish they were sturdier and larger with wider belly and chest straps for the REALLY bigger dog-
