Awesome toy

My lab mix loves this toy. She's a bit of an aggressive chewer and chewed through the rope within the first week, but the rubber section seems pretty durable.
Fun and sturdy

My dog loves this toy. We only use it for fetch although it's stood up well to some heavy chewing as well. It's great because you can toss it in the water or use it on land. It also tends to bounce erratically which is very exciting for my pooch. As other have said, the rope isn't too study, it's made for tossing, so if you want that intact don't use this toy as a chew.
Durable toy

This is the only toy that we have found that lasts more than a few days. This toy is almost indestructible. The only thing I would change is the rope which our dog chews through immediately.

Great for big dogs who chew.

Our 100# puppy loves it and so does our smaller 60# dog. They puppy chewed up the rope but they still enjoy retrieving it out of water and finding the toy in tall grass.
Holds up to even the most determined chewer!

We got this as a last-minute "add-on" to our order and couldn't be happier. We have an 18M old golden retriever mix who LOVES to chew (mostly inappropriate objects). While he made short work of the pull-rope part, the main toy has held up well (no pieces breaking off, etc.) and makes for a great fetching toy (good weight for long-distance throws). We'll be getting another to keep at the lake.
Tough Enough

My Golden loves to fetch, tug-with and dismantle dog "toys". She loves the Gourdo. It seems indestructable! It has great heft (I have the large size) and floats for long retrieves on land and in water. The natural rubber composition seems to have a peppermint scent imbedded in it that the dog can locate easily. If there is a "weak" link, it is the nylon cord which can fray if you use Gourdo for tugging sessions. My sense is that it could be easily replaced, if need-be.
Gourdo toy is great!

My dogs tend to destroy "fetch it up" toys very quickly. This one has lasted!

Durable and Fun Dog Toy

I have a medium sized pit bull who loves to play fetch and chew. She is high energy and has bite strength like no other dog I've owned. After 2 months of playing with the Gourdo 2 to 3 times per day, the toy looks almost like the day it arrived. Lesser toys haven't made it through the first play session with my girl, but this toy is very durable. Granted, I don't allow my pit bull to sit and chew on it all day. I don't think anything could hold up to that. Typically, we play fetch for 15-20 minutes several times a day. I throw it, she fetches it, and then she gnaws on it. I usually take it from her within a minute or two of the chewing. I twirl it using the sturdy attached rope, let it go, and the game begins all over again. We love this toy!

My mini schnauzer loved the toy. Made well.. Chews and chews on the rubber. The rope did not hold up as well. Just replace with some other rope. Has a natural smell to it that my dog loves.
Great Versatile Toy

This is one of my dog's favorite toys. It's handy both for playing fetch (easy to take out of his mouth when he holds it on the rubber end) and for playing tug-of-war (when he holds it on the rope end). It bounces well and doesn't roll under the furniture, plus I can leave my dog to chew on it without worrying that it'll be destroyed by the time I get back. For my small dog (20 lbs), the small is an ideal size for his mouth. On the negative side, some dogs might chew their way through the rope quite quickly, but I would think that it would be pretty easy to replace. Also, it's not quite clear from the description, but the hole on the end of the small toy is only just large enough to squeeze in two little training treats (most of the cavity is filled with coiled rope).
Best dog toy ever

We've had a few of these and have never broken one or worn one out..we have lost a couple up in trees or down deep holes though! They are great for snow or any terrain where balls are easily lost. Our dogs love them, they are super durable and well made. Highly recommended.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of useOrange Sunset.
