True to Salomon's high quality. Light weight and snug fit makes these shoes feel comfortable and secure. The grip is exception as it works well for walking or a light run on a trail over roots and other hazards. Works well on paved or concert surfaces as well.

fantastic all around
I've been going through various trail shoes for the past 3 years. From the moment i put these on, they felt great. great grip in mud and dry trails even when running full out. extremely comfortable. they hug your feet, but do not pinch in any way. good support and protection from underneath as well as toe.

Best trail shoe I've owned
This is the 11th pair of Salomon trail runners I've purchased. The first 8 were the XA Pro which I thought was a terrific shoe. But when I tried the XT Wings I discovered Salomon improved upon an already great product. Great support, quick drying and true to size (10 has been a perfect fit for each purchase). Never had any issues with the lacing system. Traction is also great - even rock climbs well up to 5.5 (even climbed the Grand Teton upper exum route in a pair).

Good shoe...but a bit narrow/small
These shoes are pretty comfortable and lightweight. The insoles provide great support for my average arch foot. I like the lacing system a lot as it's easy to operate and stays secure. My main criticism of these running shoes are that they run about a 1/2 size small (I have worn a 10 1/2 in Nike and NB for years...the 10 1/2 in these are on the cusp of being uncomfortably small in the toe box). After wearing them a couple of times, they have stretch out just slightly and don't feel quite as tight, but there is no extra room either.
