Description

It could be because this boot is at home both in town, and on the tundra, that they named it the Men's Salomon Toundra Mid WP Winter Boot. Or maybe someone hiccupped when they were typing it, either way, this stout waterproof boot is comfort rated to negative 40 degrees F thanks to an insulation initially developed for NASA spacesuits and now used by Salomon. Synthetic leather and nylon make up the outer layer, while a plush synthetic fur helps trap additional heat inside the boot. Then there's the Spaceloft™ insulation between. All this sits atop a die cut EVA footbed and a molded EVA midsole. Then there's the protective rubber toe and heel caps, and the non-marking Winter Contagrip® rubber outsole. From snowmobiling in Alaska, to an evening traipsing through the slush in NYC, lace up the Toundra Mid WP Winter Boot for men from Salomon.

Men's Toundra Mid WP Winter Boot 4.8 5 5 5
Best Snow Boot I've always been a huge fan of Salomon shoes. They last forever and the lacing system is a step above anything else out there. So, it would only make sense that I give these Tundra's a try. They do not disappoint. They fit great right out of the box, no break in period. They are much lighter then I expected. I thought they would be bulkier as well, but they aren't. I was expecting to wear these just for snow, but I may end up wearing them daily in the winter. Extremely comfortable and warm, while not being overly warm. I would call them a perfect winter snow boot. December 13, 2011
super light Got these for my husband, he loves them. He especially likes the laces, the weight of them, the toe room, the lower rubber part of the boot - the fact that it comes higher than the last pair of boots he had. good deal too! March 19, 2011
...the warmest and most high-tech boots ever owned I bought those boots especially for a trip to cold New York and as well for some snow action in the Pacific Northwest (Mt. Hood Ski area). I made the "mistake" to wear the boots on my long flight to New York, the warmth in there was almost hard to bear and i felt warm all over, only wearing a shirt. In New York, it was pretty cold and windy and the boots did a good job, but their true playground is snow and ice, as i could experience it a week later whenst back to Oregon and on Mt. Hood for some snow action. Wearing those boots your feet stay warm, dry and comfortable, although i would recommend some thicker socks, as the boots are quite stiff (at least when out of the box) and could feel uncomfortable otherwise. Also, for the same reason, you shouldn't tie them too tight. Overall, those are the warmest and most hight-tech boots I ever owned. ...Oh, and i forgot to mention the good grip of the sole and most important they are extremely lightweight, especially when looking at the weight/performance ratio !!! Very warm and comfortable in deep snow Best pair of winter boots I ever owned. Liner is very nice. Fitment is good with thick socks. Definitely worth the money. December 11, 2010
Worth the price Boots have a nice fit and offer good support. Kept me very warm in some frigid temperatures. Seem to be built quite ruggedly and seem like they will last a while. January 12, 2010
