Let me start by saying i love Salomon shoes, they just seem to fill my arch and fit me right. This shoe is no different. However, i am not sure in i need the promonation control and/or ofit can cause a problem if i use a shoe with pronation control and do not need it. I actually purchased this pair and a pair of the yellow and black in the CS version (weatherproof). I wear an 8.5 in the XA pro (which i love) but both of these felt a little shug in 8.5 compared to the XA pro in 8.5. I actually feel the this pair (non CS) was tighter then the CS version. So i am sending this pair back and keeping the CS version only. All that said i think any shoe Salomon makes is great this one just did not dit me as well as my XA Pro.
