Aside from looking pretty dang cool, the Men's Salomon XR Crossmax Neutral CS Trail Running Shoes have an amazing array of technical features. Let's start with the upper. A nylon mesh upper receives support and control from synthetic overlays which are tied into the lacing system. But the really unique feature comes from the Climashield™ forefoot waterproofing, the forefoot and tongue have a waterproof, breathable treatment, but the rest of the shoe does not, increasing its ability to vent. The Sensifit™ system works to cradle the foot, while the friction free eyelets and the Quicklace™ system lock it in place. An OrthoLite® foam footbed with an EVA heelcup provides step-in comfort as the compression molded triple density EVA midsole sucks up the terrain. Three different Contagrip® rubbers make up the outsole, with one specially formulated for snow and ice. As with every pair of Salomon running shoes I have had they fit great, and are comfortable and stable over rough terrain. Let's hope they are as durable as my last pair. It feels as though I have always had them!

nice looking shoe but it is a bit bulky for running.also its really warm great for snow running in winter, but i wont be wearing these in the summer.also the soles are a little bit stiff for my taste.

First And Not Last Pair Of Salomon's

This is the first pair of Salomon shoes that I have owned, and certainly will not be the last pair of Salomon's that I purchase. I wear these shoes on all occasions from the evening walk with the dogs, to casual Friday's at the office. The traction is great on wet days when I take the dogs walking on the trails. These shoes are very comfortable, breath well, and look good with jeans or chinos. Salomon's quick lace up system is great too when you are in a hurry. I would definitely recommend these shoes to others, as I have already received compliments from others about the look of these shoes.

Love these shoes! I play disc golf on a regular basis. I won't wear anything but Salomons! They are the most durable trail running shoes around. Every other trail shoe I've tried, the sole tears up within weeks. I can get several months use out of these.
