Sizing ChartSalomon Scream Limited w/S912 Ti Binding (Closeout)
Compare this closeout deal to the 2005 all-mountain/freeride ski and binding packages and it's pretty obvious that you'll save enough money for an extra ski vacation. The only drawback with this all-terrain deal is that we have a handful of the 2004 skis available. Aside from a couple of extra millimeters in the tail, the sidecut on Salomon's freeride-oriented Scream is nearly identical to the 2004 Scream 10 Pilot® Xtra Hot, but the construction materials and ride are distinctly unique. This ski uses a Spaceframe construction that helps refine torsion while enhancing edge control. The wide, 80-mm. waist width delivers extra floatation worthy of the deepest powder runs and steepest untracked heli-skiing runs, but doesn't limit you exclusively to off-piste terrain. To keep the Scream screamin' and lively in all snow conditions, Salomon opted for a lighter Monocoque Composite Double-wall Lite. We've paired this deeply discounted ski with Salomon's award-winning (Powder Magazine 2004) Salomon S912 Ti ski binding. The 912 Ti combines lightweight component design with ski-to-boot release wizardry to add pop and boost your confidence. This proven two-piece ski binding features Salomon's Spheric Oversize technology to optimize release and help minimize injuries that occur during a twisting fall. Micrometer adjustments redefine boot hold precision to meet the expectations of discerning intermediate, advanced and expert skiers (although any intermediates looking at this package better consider some advanced lessons on aggro terrain).

I bought some 160 cm Salomon Screams with Marker S912 Ti bindings for my son's 14th birthday. Despite the obvious shaped box, they were a total surprise and lit up his face. The skis are a shrieking bright yellow, which look a touch frightening in everyday light - but stunning on the slope and immediately recognizable. The screams have excellent torsion and plenty of spring - providing a thrill for a 105 lb 5'7', 14 year old and capacity for a 6'0", 185 lb, 49 year old .... if only I could get my hands on them to try them out.
Nicely carved, they should do well for both east coast as well as Rockies skiing. The skis are beaties and will provide a conduit to hopefully translate a keen and excited 14 year old into a skilled skier.
The package of Scream skis and bindings were purchased online from Altrec. The company representative was knowledgable and delightful to interact with - providing useful insights into the correct choice of skis and sizing - which proved spot on. In addition, the skis + bindings arrived on the promised day - excellent service.

Perfect ski for a wide variety of mountain conditions. Previously, I've had to work really hard to stay above the snow and turn on fresh powder days. Everything changed with this ski, and it goes without saying that it's great on groomers. Happy skiing!
