Description

Trade out your city boots for the Salomon Toundra Mid WP Winter Boots for women when you need a burly, trail-ready boot to take on real winter conditions. Keeping toes warm in -40F temperatures is a tough waterproof leather and synthetic upper, a burly rubber shell around your foot and Aerogels™ insulation. These snow boots have a synthetic fur lining for soft interior warmth that helps wick away sweat to regulate foot moisture. Self locking eyelets at the top help ensure a precise fit that is suitable for winter hiking and snowshoeing while their height keeps snow out as you shovel that fresh foot out of your driveway. If the aggressive Winter Contragrip® outsole isn’t enough, the Salomon Women's Toundra Mid WP W Boots are crampon-compatible.

Love Them
January 09, 2011

Great boot! Fits well, and keeps my feet and toes nice and warm. I would recommend these boots. The design of the boots are such that they are excellent for support and protection of my bad ankles. The quality of construction of these boots are superior.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Good Boot
December 16, 2011

I am petite girl under 100 lbs, these boots are light weight, the fit is good the upper part seems tight and stiff still but hoping they will flex better with time. Feet have stayed dry and warm so far, although temperatures havent reach really low yet.

I love these boots. I have a really hard foot to fit and these are great. My feet stay toasty in the coldest of Wisconsin temps.

Great boots
November 19, 2010

Very high quality, surprising light, and very warm. The only issue is they were slightly wide for my narrow foot, nothing a pair of sock cant' fix.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use

Boots warm enough for a ND winter!
December 14, 2011

I finally broke down and bought new boots after I had to wear 3 pairs of socks stuffed with foot warmers in my 10+ year old Sorels last winter in MT (they served their purpose well, but clearly I should have bought new boots a loooong time ago!). I did a lot of research because I wanted something functional (waterproof, WARM, supportive, snowshoe-friendly), not something trendy or fashionable that I would freeze my poor feet in. Also, many of the boots I tried on were terribly heavy, but these aren't! The ankle support seemed really stiff at first, but I got used to it quickly. All in all, these boots are perfect for someone who is active outside in cold (think -20F) weather! I'm VERY happy with my purchase!

Pros: snowshoe compatible, great traction, warm!

Toundra Mid WP Winter Boot for Women
November 02, 2011

My last pair of winter boots (Salomon) lasted 6 years nudged along with duck tape, toasty toes, and foot warmers! I finally forced myself to research new boots and came across these. Talking with friends about the stats (in New Hampshire the White are rather intense), everyone agreed that these boots looked good on paper. Well.... they are awesome on icy and snowy terrain. I have Raynaud's so warmth is essential and these boots rock! Granted my first outing was only 6 miles in fresh 15 inches of wet heavy snow and it was 45 degrees not 18 degrees or below which we will confront this weekend, but the fact is I hiked and snowshoed with no issues whatsoever and did not need alternative heaters. So far these boots are awesome.

Nice quality snow boots
December 06, 2010

I purchased these boots for the cold and long winters in Wisconsin. They are wonderful to keep your feet warm and dry. They give you great grip on slippery surfaces. The biggest disadvantage is that they are stiff in the ankles. So it's harder to drive your car and to walk, but I hope this will improve over time with frequent use. I'd definitely would recommend these boots for their quality and warmth.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: stiff in the ankles

Decent Boots
December 11, 2012

These boots were a little tight around my ankles. I ended up returning them for the Lowa Trident, which gave me more of the instant-comfort fit that I was after. With that said, however, the Salomon and Lowa are both great boots - the Lowas just fit my particular foot a bit better and were also made in Europe. Cheers.
