Fit Tip: these shoes run a bit wider in the toe box and almost half a size longer. I would suggest if in doubt sizing one half size down.

I had a pair of Salomon mesh Amphibian shoes for 10 years that I did everything from kayaking in to climbing technical glacial summits (that was an accident, but they worked!). When I finally got tired of explaining the rips, I ordered these trail running shoes to replace them. They are stiffer than normal trail running shoes, so you get extra torsional stability, they are lighter than running shoes, they have high narrow heels for us women so we feel secure in the shoe, the laces are awesome and fast, they look hot with jeans (I got the red ones), they were cheap on sale, and you can replace the footbeds easily if you want more cushioning. I'm a cushiony-footbed person, and the ones that come stock with the shoe aren't perfect, but I haven't replaced them yet, a month after getting them. I've worn them very day since I got them and have not discovered any flaws. They're my fave shoes now.

Shoe feels a tad long - may go back to order 1/2 size smaller. I have the same size in full boot but the lower cut seems to feel different. The pronation control with the higher arch really helps and there appears to be a lot of support through the outside of the shoe too. Appear to be really well built like the boots.

This is my second pair of Salomon Trail Running shoes. I loved my first pair and over 2 years time couldn't wear them out with hiking, alot of beach walking on gravel, and cross training at the gym. My podiatrist examined them after those two years and was fairly neutral on whether it was time for a new pair. But when I found this great price through Altrec.com I couldn't resist. They are light but consistently strong support. I found the size runs true.

I bought these shoes for hiking. They are comfortable and waterproof. I like the way they lace so quickly.

this is my third pair of these and I'm hooked! They're great in rain, snow and just general trail running. I use them for all of my snowshoe races and have never had cold or wet feet. Super comfortable and durable. I love the aqua blue color too - bright and great for summer trail fun!

A little stiff the first time out, but they are breaking in nicely. Toes typically get a little numb in the cold weather and the shoes have helped block some of the cold out. Paired them up with the blue Superfeet insoles.
