Salomon XR Crossmax

Wow! I tried to find some really well made ,stylish yet not too FLASHY Shoes for the walking trails. I am an oldie yet goodie and wanted to wear them ariund town,too. This shoe meets my request AND the fit is PERFECT! Love it! Thanks!!!!

Excellent shoes

I've never been so pleased with a pair of shoes that I can wear almost anywhere. They are functional and comfortable. I've taken them on trail runs in the Redwoods, worn them in on muddy trails, even wore them at work in the clinic. I have major bunions and the material on on the top of my forefoot allows a lot of flexibility without irritating my bunions. In addition, it still keeps be stable in the shoe and dry from the rain/mud. I got the black ones and I think they look great on and off the trails. The treads provide good traction down the hills, way better than my usual running shoes. I think the biggest reason why I love these shoes is that they accommodate my bunions, which make walking/running for me pain free and allows me to enjoy my runs. Yay! And on top of that, they look great!

After weeks of research I chose to purchase the Salomon XR Crossmax. I need a shoe that will take me from road to trail. Unfortunately I did not listen to the other reviewers which said that Solomon's run large. I am a very standard size 9 but these were too big. I'm exchanging them for an 8.5 and hopefully they will fit and I'll FINALLY get to go try them out.

Comfortable Shoes

I have very picky feet, and I have found the Crossmax to be very comfortable. They work great for running, walking, and just general wear. For running I prefer the non-climashield version, since they breath better. But for winter general use, the climashield would be great. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 in Asics, but I wear a size 7 in these.
