My Favorite Running Shoe
This is the only running shoe I will buy. I went to one of those running stores and got fitted for something else they recommended for me that actually cost less, but I went back to these. I run a 3-mile circuit of hilly trails. These are stable and have great arch support. They are wide enough for my slightly-wide front foot. I am on my 6th pair.

Not for me
I bought these for trail running on uneven trails and dirt fire roads thinking they would be supportive enough for my lower-arched feet prone to plantar fasciitis. I have very low-volume feet and overpronate moderately, and thought this "stability" shoe would be sufficient, but it wasn't. My toes jammed in the front of the shoes when running downhill and my feet slid forward, even though I ordered a half size up to allow for toe room as I always do with running shoes and pulled the quick laces tight. Not good for my type of foot. If you have low-volume feet that tend to overpronate, don't get these. I have Brooks Adrenaline ASRs and The North Face Ultra 105s, which I am much happier with. Going back to those tried and true quality shoes.

Love This Shoe
This is the second pair of Solomon XT Wings 2 Trail Running Shoes and I love them. They are comfortable, provide great support and look great. The "Quicklace System" is wonderful and makes adjusting the laces simple. I highly recommend this shoe.

love them
this is my second pair of Saloman running shoes. my first was a gift from a friend who had them. i tried something else in between because i was out of the country and not able to find them, and my other new shoes sit on the rack - i wear these all the time. i love the way they "tie". so simple and durable.

these are the only shoes I can wear consistently and not experience knee or heel [bursitis] pain...I am on my feet at least 12 hours a day, and the cushioning and support provide excellent comfort...they are also great for walking mixed terrain trails, since running isn't an option for me

Love these shoes!
Not many shoes make me happy. Usually, after a day of wearing any shoes - I need a change because my feet get tired. Well, it is definitely not the case with my Salomon XT Wings 2 running shoes. They are unbelievably comfortable, not too soft, not to hard. They have a snug fit, but don't feel tight. I did not even have to break them in. I have them in a plum/green color combination, but since I love them so much - I am considering getting them in different colors (yeah - I'm such a girl!). I also like the fact that I don't have to tie my shoe laces all the time. Once I tighten the strap - they stay comfortably closed the whole time. I tried them on different surfaces - rocks, gravel, grass, wood chips, little mud - I don't think they are ideal for rocks, but everything else - YES! If you have a regularly shaped foot - you may like these shoes too.

Salomon is the best in trail running!
I am a trail runner/road runner/hiker/camper and I use my Solomon's for all of these activities. They are the most comfortable shoes ever and the convenient easy lace system makes life so much easier for climbing in and out of the tent and slipping them on to taking your shoes off in everyone's house (it is customary to do so here in Alaska). Once i tried Salomon, I can't go to anything else. That said, I was a bigger fan of the Salomon XT WIngs than the Wings 2. I have wide feet so the wings actually pinch my toes a little bit in the front, but I'm sure once I break them in, they will fit fine. And I have bought all my pairs thru Altrec. I can't seem to ever find a better deal!

Great breathable shoe- good traction- great support.
I love the Salomon Trail Running shoes. The footbed is like nothing else I've felt before- it stabilizes you without being bulky- I could feel my stride change for the better the second I put these shoes on. Also know that these shoes are vented- but REALLY vented- in a great way at the top of the toe. They're not cold in 50 degree weather, but your feet don't bake in 100 degree weather- they're perfect. Because of that venting you will get your feet a bit wet if it rains- but not so much from puddles because the sole is made really well around the toe- it's only the very top of the shoe that's vented. (They have a mudguard and toe-cap which works really well) I've run with these shoes, and used them for every day walking- they're great for both. Much lighter than the waterproof version. It also has this really cool pouch on the tongue of the shoe to store your extra laces in! The color (grey blue & plum) is fantastic- probably the best I've seen so far with these shoes! Amazing shoes- I'd do a day hike in them any day- but I love them so much I'm wearing them all the time now! I loved these shoes since I tried them on (but couldn't afford them) 2 years ago, and I'm so happy with my investment. Side note- Altrec was a great shipper and gave me the best price anywhere on the internet, including Ebay!

The Best Trail Runners - - - EVER!
I am, and although not always, a trail runner. I've run in all the "best" trail running shoes around. The Salomon XT Wings 2 are the best pair of shoes I have tried. Comfort, grip, stability and cushioning in one shoe, go figure! Unbelievable, and runnable right out of the box...
