Sanuk traces its roots back to 1976, in a shed in Southern California, where founder Jeff Kelley produced the Fur Real sandals from inner tubes and indoor/outdoor carpet. "Sanuk" is the Thai word for fun and happiness, and if you sprinkle in some creative design and functionality, you have the essence of the Sanuk brand. In addition to producing thoughtful and creative footwear, Sanuk gives back to the environment through the eco-friendly Sanuk R.A.S.T.A. Project and to the community through its sponsorship of climbers, surfers, snowboarders, artists and musicians.
