Developed for athletes who want to enhance circulation while reducing fatigue and muscle vibration, the Saucony Amp Pro2 Compression Socks are excellent for training, racing and recovery. In recent years compression accessories and clothing have gained acceptance by online product reviewers and some medical studies, but like most new innovations the overall results tend to vary from athlete to athlete. Some runners and endurance specialists find that the Saucony Amp Pro2 Compression Socks are invaluable for training and racing events, while others insist that the compression performance works best during recovery. Saucony designed their Amp Pro2 Compression Socks using a blend of Celliant Polyester, nylon and Lycra. There is also a panel of Terry padding along the footbed for enhanced protection against blisters. Note that this fabric design is different from the Saucony Amp Pro2 Calf Sleeves which do not cover the foot area.
Not the usual

I bought these socks to add to wear while running. I have experienced multiple DVTs in one of my legs and need compression socks to counter swelling. These socks came much lower than I expected (mid-calf, rather than to the knee) and therefore the compression was different than what I'm used to. That being said, the socks are high quality, and good at keeping my feet warm while running. I likely won't wear them on longer runs, simply because I don't think the compression I gain from these is as strong or beneficial as from the knee-high styles, but they're sufficient for a short run or hike.
Pros: quality, Cons: length
