Description

Buying minimalist lightweight fitness or training footwear doesn't have to involve cutting out support features, especially if you're buying this Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe for men. While the ProGrid Kinvara 2 weighs in around 7.7 ounces, it features comfort options like memory foam heel pods and a moisture-wicking collar lining and EVA sockliner. The Men's ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe features a Heel ProGrid™ LITE midsole, the lightest ProGrid™ midsole available from Saucony. Heel ProGrid™ LITE midsoles are typically 20% more responsive than training or workout shoes made from conventional EVA midsole materials. Saucony used a special high abrasion EVA material called EVA+ throughout the rest of the midsole to reinforce the ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe and slow long-term wear. Like other exceptional Saucony training and outdoor running shoes, the ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe features the XT-900™ carbon rubber outsole tread for consistent traction on a range of varied surfaces.

Great shoes. Super light and comfortable. I don't have any pronation issues so I don't think this is a stability shoe. I have only worn them for a couple of runs so far and they feel very cushy.

This is the first Saucony product that I have owned. After reading many reviews I put down the money and anxiously awaited these wonderful shoes in the mail. When I got them, I found them extremely light especially since I wear a size 12 shoe. I have had them for a couple weeks and they are great! I do have to say that they are a lot less shoe than I'm used to, so, my calves were sore for the first few days while running in them. I'm in the military, and I have dropped my 1.5 mile evaluation time from 9:40 to 8:52 in the 2 weeks I've had them. I know a large portion is how light the shoes are and how the shoes make me correct my stride. The shoe has very little upper and little to no structure to it, which I found to be quite refreshing when running. It appears that it is designed for both sock or no sock running. They keep my feet extremely cool, even with my socks. The outer sole has thus far held up nicely with mostly running on concrete and asphalt. I have no real complaints about this product, except that Saucony may change the design which, I think would be a large mistake! If you are a neutral runner, or are looking to start working toward barefoot running this is a great step in that direction. I've run a 10k and regular 5k's and these shoes have held up very nicely, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Pros: lightweight, comfortable, very little to no break in time, cool
Cons: slightly narrow toe box, not all weather feet will get wet
