I bought these on a recommendation from my chiropractor to get a minimal/barefoot shoe for speed work. I had been getting shin splints in the Mizuno/Superfeet combination I've been running in for 5+ years and he thought this would help. Although I've only put about 100 miles on them so far, this is now my ONLY running shoe. I have tried my old shoe for longer distances and the shins act up almost immediately. My mile split is about 20 seconds faster in the Hattori and I feel lighter and more connected to the ground. Beware, you NEED to change your form when running in a barefoot shoe. Make sure to start out slowly because your calves will be very sore when you stop using a heel strike. I love these shoes and will definitely buy another pair when these wear out.

Great Minimalist Running Shoes

So far I have put about 100 miles on these shoes and they are still going strong. I plan on purchasing another pair or two for back-up's due to the low price of these shoes and how durable they are. I usually wear a 6.5 in all shoes (all other Saucony shoes I have worn in the past for running I have purchased a 6.5# and purchased a size 7 due to other people's reviews on the size. The size 7's fit like a glove, but I do like my shoes to fit this way. I will purchase my next pair#s) that I purchase in the size 7 as well because they fit perfect for me. I plan on running a half marathon in these shoes as well, so they are good for long distance. I do not recommend running on anything except pavement though, you can feel every little rock and twig with these bad boys.

great for someone wanting to try out the minimalist design without spending $100+ on other brands or newer models. Shoes size small. I ordered a size up and they are still very snug.
