Great choice for moderate terrain
May 08, 2011
This is my first pair of trailing running shoes from Saucony. I bought them because I have a moderate pronation and these shoes are designed to address this issue. Although pronation is a lesser issuer for trail running, I felt that there is no disadvantage to have shoes that correct it. Besides, I have had several pairs of Saucony road running shoes and was very happy with them. I just completed a 10k trail race in the new shoes and was very pleased with their performance: very comfortable and stable on a moderately hilly terrain. They are almost as light as Saucony traditional running shoes. The last part of the race was on pavement and my knees were grateful next day that the shoes were developed to correct pronation. I also took a hike on a rocky and much steeper terrain and liked how well they gripped the rock. Overall, it is a great choice for moderate terrain or on/off road running.
Love this pair

I've been running in the Saucony Women's ProGrid Guide TR3 Trail Running Shoes for about a year now--I am on my 4th pair (I run high trail mileage and switch about every 300 miles). I love slipping these shoes on every time. I always feel inspired to run when I'm wearing them since they are super cushioned. I like the extra traction the wide soles give me. I wore them in an 18 mile trail race, in the rain, with a 6800 ft elevation loss. They were so comfortable and I did not get one blister. They did get dirty, but the hotel concierge put them in the wash for me, and they cleaned up great and I wore them for a half marathon the next weekend. I love this shoe.
