Jorasses Pro GTX
April 20, 2012
Love these boots, Just used them for the first time in Minnesota along the superior hiking trail. 12 inches of snow came down last week and they gave me a great grip on the icy paths and they are super comfortable fo a larger boot.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceSolid Boot; with some customization
May 11, 2012
These boots have been awesome, once I customized them a bit. At first, they did not fit quite right. The heel is much wider then an average size. When it comes to ice climbing, a snug fit heel is crucial. I removed the cushion insert and replaced it with a thick sports insert and wow , what a difference. Now they fit perfect and could not asked for a better boot. I definitely recommend these boot's even though I had to replace the insert . As for performance, they have been everything I could want and more. Also, Altrec is awesome. They had a guy who was a serious ice climber and knew all the ins and outs of the boot. These guys know their stuff.

Great fit for regular width feet
April 22, 2013
My feet are about regular in terms of width, so finding comfortable and snug technical mountaineering boots can be challenging. I'm glad I found this Scarpa Jorasses at Altrec, and the fit is perfect! Also, it's built like a tank even though it is not a plastic boot. I plan to use them mainly for Spring and Fall climbing, as I already own the Scarpa Koflach Arctis for extreme cold conditions, but still on some relatively warmer winter days I may use them for ice-climbing as well with its automatic and semi-automatic crampon-compatibility. The Scarpa Jorasses' narrow outer-sole is built for technical moves, and yet its inner sole fit is designed for regular width feet. I was lucky to find this model for an amazing price at almost 50% off! Thank you to the sales person, Matt D, for his assistance over the phone, because his detailed knowledge of the product reassured me on which size to choose. Keep in mind that this model is still not for a wide foot, so I suggest contacting Scarpa directly to match you up with the right boots.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: a bit heavy but expected for such a bootWrite a review for the Scarpa Jorasses Pro GTX Mountaineering Boots here.
