The History of Scott is a rich one. Their high-tech journey started back in 1958, when founder Ed Scott invented the first aluminum ski pole, revolutionizing skiing by replacing the sport’s heavier bamboo and steel poles. From there Scott went on to make lightweight ski boots and the first foam ventilated goggles in 1971. In 1986 they opened a world class ski pole factory in Italy, and broke into the mountain bike market. 1994 saw their first winter gloves introduced, and soon after that they were crafting winter apparel and skis. Scott opened their US headquarters in Sun Valley, Idaho in 2008, and today their products can be seen all over the world  --  helping to win Olympic medals, and helping your little one make their first pizza wedge on the bunny hill.
