Solid Wet Weather Commuter
March 29, 2010
This has been my new commuter for the majority of the rainy season here in Portland. You can stuff loads of dry clothes and food securely through the top. I even purchased the internal organizer which helps keep the small things secure inside the pack. I would definitely recommend that as well. Pros: Large Volume Bomber Waterproof Comfortable Cons: Folded Top Flap obstructs rear vision when trying to change lanes in traffic

Excellent backpack for any use
June 10, 2009
I spent three weeks in East Africa at the end of the rainy season and wanted a waterproof backpack for day trips. As it turned out, it didn't rain much, but the backpack was still great. While my friends were trying to remember which subdivision or pocket they put their stuff in, I already fished my stuff out. Of course, the downside to one compartment is that you need to layer stuff, with the least used items on the bottom. At first, I thought the roll-top would make for a funky appearance, but I actually received many compliments on the simple but elegant design. The small size provided plenty of space for a small first aid kit, rain jacket, medium camera bag, and miscellaneous items like sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and protein bars. I also bought the pocket organizer and found it very useful.

I just got the large and also have the small size. These bags hold a substantial amount of stuff so I prefer the small for commuting and the large for travel. I found the straps/harness to be comfortable. I don't like packs with lots of pockets/dividers/hooks/holders built in so the simple and spacious design is perfect for me.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityvery lightweight, waterproof bag

I highly recommend this bag. i used it as a daypack (i bought the small size) on a weeklong hiking trip and it was perfect. at various times it held several fleeces and a shell as well as snacks, a 20 oz water bottle, a camera, sunscreen, a hat and gloves. it was waterproof, very light, comfortable, fit great (i'm 5'4") and provided easy access. due to the rolldown feature you could stuff a lot of things in it or roll it down tight and smaller. i got a lot of compliments on the looks of it as well. though i didn't mind, some may not like the lack of pockets. you pretty much just have to rummage through the bag every time you want something. i do recommend buying the organizer to provide a place for small items. i also bought the water bottle holder that attaches to the straps but if you're doing a lot of scrambling on your hikes the holder doesn't do a great job of holding bottles.

Great Pack for Daily Commute
July 31, 2009
I got this pack as an alternative to my messenger bag, which I found to shift too much on a longer commute. I've had the small Urban Backpack for a month now and love it. The small is a perfect size to carry a change of shoes, pants & shirt, and I've even stuffed my 17" laptop in there a couple times as well. I like the roll top. It's very easy to get stuff in and out quickly. The front pocket is very thin, but good for a small wallet or iphone and not much else. Overall the pack feels very durable and the cushioned back pad is very comfortable and breathes well. I plan on purchasing the large for the winter months to come.

Urban Backpack: Seal Line

Great backpack for water activities. Everything stays dry even under a 50 foot waterfall. 5 stars if it came with the seal line urban backpack organizer (carry a flashlight for low light settings after all it is water proof).

Nice pack, bigger than expected

Well designed and well constructed. Appreciate that it is made in the U.S. Clean design, although an extra pocket or two on the outside for small items would be nice. Large size is too big for my wife's smaller frame.
