An adjustable waist belt and sternum strap also contribute to a comfortable carry; and a back-panel stiffener gives the pack bag structure to help distribute the weight evenly. Love it!
I bought this bag 4 months ago and I'm in love. I use it for cycling (commuting via bike) and when I'm on my scooter. It can get very large if you need it to but also if you don't have a ton in it it's not bad. Oh you don't need to worry about water getting in as well. At all. It doesn't have a lot of fancy pockets, but it's very practical. I really like it. I suggest this over the roll top chrome bags.

Its big...
I had read that this bag was big, and it is quite big! The back padding is extremely comfortable, as are the shoulder straps. I'm not sure how much abuse this bag can take yet as I've only been using it for a month, but it is holding up to the abuse I put it through. Watertight. I only wish they had a pocket built into the inside of the bag, but other than that, awesome.
