Great shirt and versatility factor a plus. this is a great product and keeps you warm, esp. when you engage the zipper/collar feature. the only complaint i've got is the same as others have noted: it's very, very small. it's hard to gauge what size you need, but for sure go up a size or even 2, trust me, you won't regret it. good shirt for price.

Favorite! My favorite shirt(s) to do just about anything! Some how when I go to my closet this is the shirt I always grab. Enough warmth without overheating you & great at wicking moisture away. Just waiting for some new colors to come out and I will be buying more!

essential! A great shirt for so many reasons. Keeps you warm but still breathable, wrinkle free, no pilling and no shrinking. Flattering styling and fit. Also has long enough sleeves for long arms. I'm getting more!

Wonderful shirt--flattering and comfortable I received this shirt from our son for Christmas. I put it on the next day and have worn it many times since. Although I have an extenssive wardrobe, I choose this shirt most often. The style is attractive and it is extremely comfortable. In fact, I liked mine so well that I have ordered these shirts for our granddaughter and daughters-in-law, who love them. I plan to order a few more, in different colors for me. Buy one and try it--you'll love it.

Great to run in! This womens shirt fits tight, but also gives you room to throw something on underneath as well. Great fit allows excellent running clothing, and not only keeps you warm, but also keeps you cool.

The Best Shirt This is the best shirt!! It keeps you warm when it's cool and cool when it's warm. I have this in every color and would wear it every day if I could. This shirt wicks away moisture,and is a great first layer when it's really cold. I hiked Zion and Bryce in this shirt and loved it. If you can only buy one shirt this is the one to get, hands down.

Great shirt! This is a very comftorable shirt! It fits perfectly. I originally bought it with the intent to use it as a base layer when I go skiing, but I know I'll be getting much more use out of it. This is a wonderful shirt at a very nice price.

Great shirt Along with my long sleeve Vaporwick crew, I wear this shirt often...the real test will be in a rain forest in Ecuador next month. It is comfortable and has a flattering fit. I bought 2 from Altrec (I would buy more if more were available in my size).

Women's El Cap Shirt Great shirt!! I LOVE it and have it in many colors. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where it is foggy in the morning and warm and sunny in the afternoon. Always layering. This is great for that plus taking on climbing trips to Mt. Shasta.

Perfect All-Around Shirt! I was in an accident when this shirt was cut off me at the hospital. Funny that all I could think of was getting another shirt like it and I did. It's the perfect shirt for layering and does an excellent job at moisture management. It's comfortable and feels great against the skin. It doesn't snag like others. I wear mine in winter trekking, mountain biking in cool temps, and even wear it on airplanes. The fit is comfortable without being tight and without bulk.

Awsome Layer I added this under a Hind Polar Arctic Top and was really warm and dry on my 10K training run in 22 degrees with 35 mph wind gusts. When I wear the Hind top alone I freeze after I stop running. It wicked the moisture away and kept me warm and dry. I'm going to buy 3 more!

warm, wicking, lightweight, brilliant fit the north face company has done it again! a lovely fit, comfortable fabric that feels good to the touch and wicks moisture when things heat up. the color is complimentary, even for last year's design. i will take the 'not near velcro' advice, as i can see the fabric would be suspectable to snagging if care is not taken.

I love it I love the El Cap Shirt! I own two and i even bought one for my sister! I figure skate, i run in snowshoes and i'm a mountaineer. I use my El Cap Shirt for all those activities because of it's versatility! Now i can't live without it!

Great shirt. A practical layering piece, as well as attractive. The fit is perfect - trim but not tight, sleeves long enough for my longer-than-average arms, and stand-up collar cozy without that poking-you-in-the-neck feeling. Very happy with my purchase.

Could be longer I like the way the shirt fits, except for the fact that I have a longer than average torso and the hem hits just at my hip bone. I would prefer it a couple of inches longer for good coverage when doing activities outdoors, which is why I wanted it to begin with.

Fantastic fall/winter aerobic shirt The El Cap has been my first pick this crisp fall to hit the trails. It is a great weight that regulates well though out my whole run. As I warm up and hit the big hills I can unzip it to gain more airflow. I also like to wear it out on occasions the El Cap is so undestractable that it looks good in the restaurants or at work as well. If you are still questioning whether to purchase it trust me.......you will get your monies worth in no time at all.

Great shirt I bought this shirt for my girlfriend who is chronically cold whenever we are outdoors. It fit her perfect and now that she's worn it on her first hike she wants more for our trip to NZ in two weeks. It layers well with a base garment and looks good just as a casual shirt with jeans for the weekend. Look forward to purchasing more!

Great shirt @ a great price with fast service from Altrec.com! This is the best shirt I own! I have 7 in different colors. It is multi functional, comfortable and good looking as well as great for 4 season wear. Its wicking properties make it great for keeping warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather, which is a necessity here with the varying Utah temps. The UPF 30+ keeps the sun off my arms and chest, which always seem to get sun exposure no matter how much and what type of sunscreen I apply. It's contoured fit is flattering; however it does run small, so order 1 size up. Also, if you have any velcro closures on your jacket or pants, keep these away from the shirt, as the velcro will snag the pique exterior finish of the shirt; it won't make a hole, but it will make pull marks on the outside of the shirt.

EL CAP SHIRT love this shirt- bought a medium and I am usually a size 4-6. watch out because it does shrink if you dry it so make sure you hang dry.

All around great shirt I now own three(!) of these great shirts. They wear like iron, look good, travel well and can be dressed up or down a bit. I wear mine for hiking, golf and general run around, often with a vest. Can't say enough good things, and nope the North Face will continue making them for years to come.

great looking wicking shirt! This shirt is great. It's got a nice flattering shape and it keeps your temp just right. Works as a base layer or on warmer days over a t-shirt. I got the red glaze and it's very nice color--more pink than in the picture.
